Perfect for the purpose. The picture quality must be amongst the best around; though I would say night vision could be better, though not that bad. Resolution is okay. Audio quality in both ends is superb! You'll want to use this with a Nest Aware subscription for peace of mind. The app is okay, though I should say that management of recorded events is a rather involving process when compared to the Canary system I am coming from, and you can't change the save location on your phone. But it is not bad at all; and you tend to like it, afterwards, particularly if you're as invested in the Google Smart Home ecosystem. This thing is solidly built. We use this in our baby’s nursery. We held off on using a camera in there for the longest time but this thing is a game changer for nap time. We pull up the feed on one of our phones while she sleeping and can see if she is actually awake or just fussing. Her sleep and our stress around nap time are much better. Excellent product and easy setup. I wounded it to the wall with the provided hardware in under 5 min and it comes with a long plug in cord. The nite vision mode is amazing also. I have had this camera for about two months. (I had to get something to replace my Amazon Cloud Cam, which they stopped supporting.) It came with a month of premium service, and now I just have the free account with three hours of memory. The picture quality is excellent, even at night, and the colors are bright. It was easy to set up. My issue is that it does not detect or record my cat walking around the house. Even when I had the premium service with more storage, it never recorded a single motion incident with my pet. It detected and recorded my petsitter, but not my cat. So basically I can see a live feed of my cat if he happens to be in the room with the camera, but no recordings from earlier in the day. I also had to turn off sound recording because it caused a feedback whine. And the green "on" light is extremely bright. Overall it's a good camera, but I miss my Cloud Cam. ... show more

Good quality picture, but at a price. Although stable, I miss other cheaper camera features that allow motion panning. Very easy set-up and integration with Google Home, which was a BIG +. Although expensive, due to the easy integration with Google Home, will buy additional units in the future.

I have many cameras and 3 Nest outdoor cams that use the Nest App. I have a Nest Aware subscription so when I needed to replace an indoor cam, I decided to buy this. I knew that it only used the Google Home app but didn't realize how much you lose from what you get in the Nest App. Every camera that I have ever used or configured you're able to schedule when you want it to record events. This is the only camera that I fond where you cannot decide when it's on or off. You can't set a routine to turn it off in the Home App. You cannot schedule times to turn it on or off. You can only set home or away presence using the location on your phone. Well I don't take my cell phone everywhere and home most of the time so this is terrible. All in all the actual camera is nice but the software is the worst that I've ever seen. You really can't configure very much. It's not very versatile Thank goodness I didn't buy more like I considered doing. If there integrate them into the Nest app or bring the Nest App features to Google Home then it would be an all around great product.. ... show more

had Arlo, recently switch to ths and couldnt be happier. motion detction works thru windows which arlo couldnt do. only negativeis the app access with Home. cant really edit/crop or download video.

Great picture quality, super easy to setup and use. Only catch with this camera is as of now (Feb 2023), this camera only works in the Google Home app, so if you have Gen 1 cameras in the Nest app, you now have to use Google Home to see them all (and you don't have full control over Gen 1 yet in google home). ... show more
