Works fine. It started up babbling Japanese or something. I took it to the room with my router, started my Google Home app on my phone and started to add it. Added OK. I would recommend.

    • Item would not “speak” English
I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Google tech support and probably 25 with Amazon support. Item started out setup process fine, picking up routines I had set up for our previous unit. At some point it glitched and would only “speak” Japanese from that point on. I do not speak nor understand Japanese. Google tech support was unable to correct this issue and referred me to Amazon. Thankfully after trying some of the same troubleshooting exercises, Amazon issued a call tag for this unit and its replacement should arrive on Tuesday. Item was manufactured in 2019, and I don’t know why it’s on the shelf 5 years later. Not sure if that is related to its inability to operate in English even though that’s the language that has been selected. ... show more

Took a few minutes to set up because it had a foreign language on it, instead of American English, but once after a few tries, it is up and running! So many wonderful features... I highly recommend this Google mini nest speaker!

    • Functional - But comes with a Foreign plug and adapter. Will not work with wall mounts.
Speaker works, but came with a Non-U.S. Plug (2 round prongs) and some sort of adapter to plug into the wall. Also came speaking French and was a pain to set up due to not being able to understand what It was saying. Will not work with the Google Nest mini wall mounts unless you purchase a regular U.S. Cord separately. ... show more
