This product makes it appear as though you are receiving a lot of magnet toys. But upon receiving, you only get 40 pieces. Very disappointing.

    • Held the attention of 6 grandchldren for hours!
This is the second set of magnetic tiles I have for grandchildren ages 4-11. They love them and can create and build for hours on end. However, no where in the description does it say how many pieces you actually get in the box. There are 36 pieces in each box. How does one compare prices know and what you can build. The description shows pictures and videos which require MANY sets to complete the designs shown...NOT just the one set you are buying! That is deceptive advertising and could at least show how many pieces it comes with in the ONE box. The magnets are not terribly strong, but sufficient for lots of fun play. These magnetic tiles are an excellent learning tool!! I'm a big believer that young children learn best through play and my kids love playing with these! They are a safe toy with rounded edges. I know that they are extremely durable because they have been dropped on the floor many times already. With my youngest child, we talk about the shapes and colors as we build simple structures and get great quality time together. My child that is a couple years older builds large castles, while learning about how shapes, structures, and magnets work. I love watching them both tap into their creativity. Magnetic tiles are the best! They are a great alternative to legos. My son really enjoys playing with these. He has so many but can always use more. This is a great starter kit or to add to any collection. They are great!

Goodtiles magnetic tiles set of 44 pieces was an average set. I am a Pre-K school teacher and have been collecting magnetic tiles for over 10 years now. I have a giant collection. Let's compare this set with some of the other brands. In the last picture you can see three stacks of 7 squares each. MagnaTiles Stardust set is on the left, GoodTiles is in the middle and Picasso Tiles is on the right. GoodTiles are slightly thicker than MagnaTiles and slightly thinner than Picasso Tiles. MagnaTiles have the riveted corners. I have used tiles daily for 10 years worth of students with daily drops of magnetic tiles onto the tile floor. Very few from any sets have broken, so I personally don't bother to pay premium prices for the riveted sets. I didn't encounter any polarity issues when building structures with these Goodtiles. As far as magnetic pull goes, this set is middle of the road. Goodtiles, Picasso Tiles and MagnaTiles all will hold 5 square tiles when suspended. The shapes in this set are a nice variety and the colors are bright. Now I will say that there are two sets I have tried out lately that stand out due to magnetic pull. CooDoo Tiles and GeeLab tiles both had noticeably stronger pull and when I hung a row of squares, were able to support a whopping 7 tiles weight. They snap right into place and hold strong. So this set of Goodtiles was average and would make a fine starter set for a beginner builder. ... show more
