It is a nice cup but it would be MUCH better cup if it had ridges in the lid to help turn the lid. I’m not sure if the gasket could be replace but that would be great. So far no peeling of paint.

This cup is a generous size, easy to clean, and works well. I use it to keep my water cold all day at my desk by putting a couple of ice cubes in and filling it with water in the morning. It has a comfortable handle and a smooth stainless steel interior with hard plastic like material on the outside. It doesn't scratch easy. I'm very glad I ordered it, and am even thinking of getting another. It comes with a strong clear plastic lid, but I don't use it right now. She says her coffee is still hot by the time she finishes her cup and she doesn't have to worry about reheating it. The top is tight enough that it doesn't leak, which had been an issue in a previous mug.
