I’ve been looking for a safe and fun magnet toy for my 18 month old and this is the only one I could find that I felt was well made and safe. He absolutely loves playing with the magnets. I bought this for daycare. It is very sturdy and toddler friendly! The magnets are not too strong to have pinched fingers but are strong enough to hold pieces together while being carried by a toddler… bumping into things. It’s amusing to find the rods stuck to our metal safety gates. The balls are not magnetic, are lightweight, and sound hollow, which doubles as a toddler musical instrument. They are very durable: they have been dropped and clinked together on a regular basis. I would recommend they are kept away from electronics that you don’t want damaged. You can make a variety of shapes with one kit. If you have an older or more advanced builder, I would suggest buying two kits. ... show more

Pieces were just the right size for my 8 month old to be able to grasp and large enough to not be a choking hazard. My baby likes playing with these. It’s fun and engaging.

These are a wonderful toy. My one year old loves them already and I know he’ll love them more as he gets older and wants to build things. Right now he just puts them together and pulls them apart again. I do agree with other reviewers that the magnets could be just a little more powerful without making the toy significantly harder to play with or dangerous, but I figure that’ll be part of the challenge for him once he wants to make complex structures. They come in a nice sturdy box that can be used for keeping them organized and for storage, which is kind of the best part for me, since toy bins are always so full and messy. ... show more
