Incredibly tough, Incredibly light, they WILL take a beating. Put them to work on the beaches while surf fishing. They been dropped in sand, saltwater, buried in sand, cover in bait/fish "stuff". I only rinse them in the ocean before i leave. Ive got about 20+ hrs of fishing with them and after all ive already done to them you cant even tell! I have used these for a week so far while surf fishing at the beach. I’m putting them to the test as they are continuously completely submerged in the saltwater for hours. I rinse them thoroughly when back at the condo. So far they are showing no adverse signs of being subjected to this harsh environment. I want to see how well the carbide cutters and their set screws hold up. Also I want to see if the carabiner and the lanyard stays set screws are rust proof as well. I’ll update as I get more usage out of them but right now I’m glad I spent the money. It was between these, Van Staal and Danco. I chose these because of the lifetime warranty, leather sheath and extra sets of cutter that came with it. Also, the split ring pliers work really good too. If you are trying to decide whether or not to spend that much on pliers I think it’s a great investment of fishing funds. ... show more

    • Great Pliers But Not Including 3 Replacement Cutters

The pliers themselves feel quite nice. I have the Premio and Simms high end pliers already. These compare quite well at their respective price point. I bought the pliers without holster and now kind of wishing I had the holster too, but at least they do sell it separately so I can buy later. The only reason I can’t give top score (other than long term durability I just can’t verify yet with the length of ownership) is because they are listed to include 3 replacement cutters. As you can see in the photo actually what I received was one replacement cutter and two blunt other side inserts (what the blade presses against). The blunt side really shouldn’t need to be replaced as it doesn’t dull, so I really want (and expected) is the two additional sharpened replacement blades for the cutter. I hope Gomexus sees this and responds. If so I’ll come back and update the review. ... show more

Simply perfect. The precision is grade A+ . Looking at the price it’s seems expensive for a pair of pliers. Once I got them in hand I understood the pricing, I’m a professional tradesman. You get what you pay for. These may be on the expensive side but oh my are they so so worth it! Beautifully made and the sheath is made with such care and with such durability. These are absolutely worth every cent! They are so durable and I have had no issues with them at all. They are heavy duty but are very lightweight. I am beyond happy with these! These are definitely high quality Fishing Pliers. I’ve always used regular needle nose pliers which worked but they always rusted while in my tackle box which these don’t rust even if left in water. Needle nose I always done damage to the fish which isn’t what I wanted to do. These have a design on the end that makes it so you can actually grab the hook and get it out without hurting or killing the fish. I also like the clip thing that prevents them from falling out of the boat into the water. I’ve lost a ton of things in my lake including my phone. These look like a surgical tool with the Titanium. The reviews support the premium quality of these. You can do like me and buy many needle pliers that don’t last or buy the best starting out and not worry about it. ... show more
