  • Great entry level work boot!
Size: 9.5 Color: Brun-m6
I purchased these after seeing the Rose Anvil review and I could not be more satisfied. They are a great, affordable work boot! They were comfortable right out of the box, absolutely zero break in. I don't beat up boots as much as I did when I was younger and working in the trades, but they still get a lot of use. They seem to be holding up really well, including the soles. The only thing I dislike about these boots is that the tongue is padded. It makes it so I have to tie the boots when I put them on and then re-tie them a little while later to snug them up. It's fine, though. Buy these boots with confidence, but be mindful that you usually want to go a half size or size down. I usually wear a 10 or 10 1/2 in dress shoes, and 9 1/2 in these boots fit perfectly! Highly recommended, especially for the price!!! UPDATE: These boots are still going great after several months of service. The soles are holding up surprisingly well, showing almost no wear! ... show more

  • Really OK boots with some work
Size: 10 Color: Copper/Full Grain
I really wanted to try these boots mostly out of curiosity. The price is right, and the company has a good reputation. I've had both Red Wing Heritage, and Thorogood mocs. I had to sell my Red Wings because they were absurdly heavy even for a heritage boot. And The Thorogood mocs I had in Black so they just never made it into the rotation that often. Comfort wise Red Wings are a draw with Thorogood if you have the patience to break in Red wings, but TG are better out the box. These GOLDEN FOX boots were A+. Literally zero break in time, and are super comfortable after a few months. For me personally I love the weight. I have MS and my left leg is partially paralyzed so weight is really an issue when it's hard to lift your barefoot. They almost wear like a sneaker, but don't take that the wrong way. They are a very sturdy boot. I am a size 10.5 in both RW and TG, but had to size down to a 10 with these. They run a full size big, This unlined Copper pair is supposed to be the lightest they offer, and it definitely feels that way to me. Another reason I pulled the trigger on these is they finally made an unlined version, BUT it only comes in the Copper color. If you want to resole a goodyear welted boot years later a lined boot is most likely going to be shredded on the inside with all the fabric/padding. So they are moving in the right direction by having unlined options. The original lined Golden Fox Moc have a pretty decent oil tanned leather. This Copper color looks painted on. It's just flat plasticy and unappealing in hand. So after a few weeks I decided to strip them with Renomat, and then doubled down with Saddle Soap. Once I got rid of that flat weird color, and moitsuized with some Lexol. They look waaaaay better. When you push, or scratch the leather you can now see it act like full grain leather. I am happy with the way they look now, and I think they will take on a nice natural patina opposed to the waxy Copper color. The crepe sole has more traction than both the Red Wings, and Thorogood. They call it Rubberlon. As far as sole durability I can't say yet because it's only been a few months. The uppers will last years. The only other downside besides the color I can think of is they have a synthetic welt. Some sort of plastic that could maybe crack, and make re-soling more expensive if it has to be replaced with something natural. Overall now that the uppers are looking better I'd be willing to pay for a resole for the same price as a new pair. Re-use recycle, and all that. If they make more unlined options I'll pick them up for sure. I might go with their Bondocker next because it's getting great reviews. You just can't beat this boot for this price. I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Get the boots!
I wanted to wait a cpl weeks before making a review. These boots are worth every penny. I spend 12 hr days on my feet on concrete in a manufacturing warehouse. These boots were super easy to break in and are the most comfortable I’ve ever worked in. After 12 hrs of course I’m a little sore but nothing like before. I’m a female who wears a 7-7 1/2 in women’s and got the men’s 5.5, there’s enough room for me to wear thicker socks when it’s cold, but not so lose that I can’t wear regular socks when needed. They definitely hold up to the rigorous work I put them through 5-6 days a week. And I don’t dread putting them on for my next shift. I had nvr heard of this brand before and took a chance based on reviews. They have not disappointed!! The only drawback I’ve had was the laces come undone frequently, so I just double knot them. So it’s not even an issue. I am beyond happy w this purchase. ... show more

  • Nice but run HUGE
Size: 9 Color: Copper/Full Grain
Nice budget moc toes. Comfy and durable for casual use or light work. They do run HUGE, however. I am measured out to be a 10 on the metal thing at the shoe store, but I had to size these down all the way to 8.5 to get them to fit.

  • Updated review after 2nd pair arrived.
Size: 5.5 Color: Brunn
**update at bottom**I so wanted to love these and hopefully the replacement pair will be perfect but the pain these caused is not acceptable. The rivet on the right boot dug into my foot and made for an excruciating day on the job site. At one point I even put duct tape inside to buffer the metal from digging into my skin. The right side is perfect, the rivet undetectable under a layer of felt. I’m giving them another chance because the insole is so comfortable and supportive and they look great. I also love that they have small sizes so female project managers can find boots to wear on job sites. If the second pair is the same they are getting one star. Also, why even have that stupid rivet! Update…2nd pair arrived quickly and did not have the rivet issue. I wore them on a job site for two solid weeks with no pain issues (I mostly walk around with a clipboard instead of strenuous physical work). These insoles are extremely comfortable, the leather is wearing nicely. I do have two complaints, 1. The left side tongue migrates to one side every day, there is nothing to keep it in place. 2. The top two shoe lace holes should be speed hooks. This would make for faster lacing but also quicker removal after a long exhausting day on your feet. ... show more

  • Very satisfied so far
Size: 11 Color: Brunn
So far I’ve been satisfied with the construction the quality of products for a boot made in China was better than what I expected. Size runs pretty close to true. I’m either 10 1/2 or 11 so I ordered 11 and they’re a hair bit big but not too uncomfortable. I’m curious to see how they hold up in the long run so far really good. ... show more

  • Amazing work boots
Size: 10 Color: Black
I have had my new work boots for about a month now and I have nothing but positive things to say about them, they are one of the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever owned. I am typically on my feet for 10+ hours a day and they have been comfortable since day 1, love the leather and the black color as well. ... show more
