Listen, this is my absolute first time working with DFT anything!! I do sublimation printing often for my small business as an artist, making T-shirts and other items of my work but I wanted to try this and I’m so amazed by the quality. First things first!! This small kit came with everything I needed, with the exception of the art, printer, oven, of course. Because I am a first time user of this, I chose to use an existing white/light colored T-shirt that I had. I don’t have a DFT printer so I used my Canon converted sublimation printer with sublimation ink, of course. It came with instructions for a DFT printer or sublimation printer. I followed the instructions for the sublimation printer, and I followed them exact. I do not have a DFT oven so the suggestion was to use a heat press and just hover over the design which I did. As you can see, the result came out perfectly. Not only was I incredibly happy with the outcome, but it feels amazingly soft and it doesn’t feel like it’s raised. It’s very smooth with the surface of the T-shirt and even softer than the T-shirt, which is crazy. I didn’t record a video because I wasn’t sure if it would come out right but what you see (not the background image) the image in the forefront with the lady with glasses, is what I did and you can see the vibrance of color. Nothing was missing, not one detail! I’m extremely happy and I can’t wait to try this on dark colors, but this particular kit recommended light colors only. Which I honestly didn’t know that at the time so I’m not sure if it was in the Fine print and I just missed it. But that’s OK. I can’t wait to use this more, but I definitely need to upgrade so that I can do larger sizes than 8x10 but until I decide to invest in a DFT printer, this is the way I will go. My reviews are normally not this long, but I was thoroughly impressed and was not paid. This is an honest review from an artist. The only thing left to review is after washing it and because I put this on a sample shirt anyway, I’ll run it through a few inside out/ cold water washes after 24hrs (this is just my recommendation, not theirs) I honestly didn’t read to see if they gave any recommendations on care so maybe I should and see how it does and come back and let you know. ... show more

This stuff is great and easy! I just started using an Epson sublimation printer and a heat press a few weeks ago, so I am new at this stuff, but this transfer film powder kit was amazing! I tried it tonight for the very first time and it was so easy and the results are awesome! I highly recommend!

    • DTF powder does not always work well with what is being sublimated
For me, the DTF powder did not work well for what I was doing. I sublimated a SVG I wanted to use on a t-shirt. When I applied the powder to the picture and heated the powder, I easy pressed the picture on to the shirt and all of the picture did not press onto the shirt.

I watched videos on YouTube a couple days before this arrived and thought i had it down. Well, no, not yet. Printed the beaver design with a few different approaches and nothing worked. Went back to YouTube and found that others were using higher temperature. This company says use 310 and 320. Others used 385, so with the roses i used 370 for 20 seconds when placing the design on the fabric and you can see the difference. The rose on the right was also cured at 370 for maybe a min. The one on the left was not. Again big difference with getting the powder to melt was much easier. So, my take so far is yes cure the design at a higher temp and also set the design using a higher temp. Next is washing and see how it holds up. ... show more
