Description

The 108” KeepSafe wood expansion gate is great for pets. The 108" KeepSafe expansion gate is the largest expansion gate in the industry and yet, retracts to the size of our competitors' 60" model. It is highly recommended over other gates by many Major Kennel Clubs. It features an uneven top, which pets will not jump over since they do not see a "push off" point. Our entire KeepSafe line is "Top of Stairs" certified. It swings up to 270 degrees, according to how it is mounted, for convenient walk-thru ability and storage against the wall when not in use. It has a smooth middle support leg for easy gliding across floors while also preventing sagging. This gate also features our “Soft Touch Finger Latch” which allows you to easily open and close the gate with one hand. The patented rivet design prevents pinch points and securely attaches to the wall with simple hand tools. We, along with many major kennel clubs, highly recommend this gate to pet owners. Fits openings: 37-108" (W). 32" (H). Including uneven openings. Retracts to 25.5"(W)! Collapses to the industry's smallest profile and swings out of the way when not in use. This gate is just.... okay. Bought it to block a large opening to keep our 50lb dogs out of the kitchen and it does serve it's purpose. It was one of the largest gates we found. It was also very easy to install. There are downsides, however: - It is flimsy and would not hold up to much pressure; therefore, I would NOT recommend it for stairs. - The clasp is very stiff and open at the bottom so when opening it actually hurts my fingers unless I use two hands so I can hold it up with one hand and put pressure with the other hand. Definitely could not open it one handed. - The middle leg is short and doesn't appear to be adjustable. Might not be a big deal except that in order to install the brackets just above our (short) baseboards the leg doesn't touch the ground so therefore there's not actually any middle support. Not as big of a deal when extended in our current setup, but when folded up the gate just hangs off the wall and swings. It also wouldn't "catch" if using the floor bracket for stairs unless we removed part of the baseboard. - The wood used is very soft, not sturdy at all. Within the first day it was cracked when our cat tried to squeeze under it near the wall. Our dogs don't jump up on it or try to push on it so it ultimately is serving it's purpose. But I would not recommend as a barrier for jumpers or for children who might try to push or climb. ... show more

I have 3 dogs in my house that love to do despicable things to the living room carpet when we leave the house. This gate was the perfect solution for an 8 foot gap between the living and dining room. This is easy to install especially if you go to the manufacturers website and watch the install video. This gate is great quality. Smooth wood, no finish on it, but I don’t see any areas where a splinter can occur. We needed to block off stairs and a hallway, but due to location of studs in relation to the stairs, molding, etc we could not install a regular gate on the stairs. Instead, this blocked off a large space between two walls blocking off both areas at once. Seems to work great so far. I was worried the length we needed it to block off would make it unstable, but that’s not the case, it is very stable and durable even though we haven’t even installed the floor piece the middle gate rests in yet. ... show more

After getting a gate I thought I wanted, I found this one to be the perfect ideal fit. Handle/Latch is a little stiff at first, but after a few uses (Multiple times a day for about a week) it loosened up. Gate covers perfectly across my 105” doorway with PLENTY of slack if I needed more (extra 10” max). Gate was purchased with the intentions of keeping my baby (1 year old) safely in the living room. I was easy to install and it expands pretty wide which I needed for my open floor plan in my living room to my kitchen. My 1-year-old can lean on it and it won't move or wiggle. Overall, it's sturdy.

This was perfect for a VERY wide opening on a front porch at our lake house. It keeps dogs and children contained. We just use the top latch and it keeps it closed fine. A little difficult to close top and bottom when it’s being used a lot. Folds back out of the way nicely when not needed.
