Forego the face shield and replace it with a peak visor to block out the sun (sold separately).

I have worn several different motorcycle helmets over the past 42 years of riding, but none have ever been as comfortable as the Gmax. Especially helpful is the built in sun shade which makes it possible to ride without having to wear regular sunglasses which often tend to be uncomfortable when squeezed inside of the helmet. I have been searching for a helmet that meets all my needs. This is the best one I've found. Very comfortable, and stylish which is a perk. I love that I don't have to wear sunglasses with it because of the built in sun visor. seems very well built but not too heavy.

First off I am a returning gmax customer so I figured this helmet would be of similar quality to the older 3/4 helmet I already owned. Boy was I wrong. I ordered a small because my measurement was between sizes and it advises to use the smaller size. (My old helmet is a medium) this doesn't fit snug AT ALL. I wanted the shield for rain protection which that did serve the purpose. Overall I am not impressed with anything about this helmet. The lining is virtually non existent, the "speaker pockets" are useless. I had to modify the foam in order to use my Bluetooth communicator so that it didn't hurt my ears. The only thing gmax got right (and the only reason this wasn't a one star review) is the fact they put a quick release buckle, and the fact the shield does keep the rain off my face. ... show more
