  • Fixed the problem I never should have had
Giving it 5 stars for Amazon's benefit because the part and delivery was great, but shame on GM for making a 150 dollar part that needs to be replaced because a cheap internal check valve failed that probably costs less than 1 cent. And based on my research will probably fail again in another couple years, hooray! Don't forget to buy new O-rings for your injectors! ... show more

  • Perfect part
This part was the exact replacement for my 2012 Chevy Cruze LTZ. The replacement job looks tougher than it really is. Will need reverse torque sockets to remove intake. Came with all gaskets and grounding wire, its ready to bolt on.

  • Engine runs like new!
If you have a 2015 or 2016 trax, you will eventually (usually at 60k miles) notice a rough idle and increased fuel/oil consumption. Usually this means the check valve in the intake manifold is gone, which causes high vacuum in the valve cover and blows the PCV. You can replace the PCV and valve cover, but the problem will keep happening until this part is replaced as well. It is a poor design from GM that the valve and PCV are not replaceable without requiring entire new assemblies, but that is a separate issue. This part seems to be genuine OEM, fit perfectly, and solved the problem. I've put 10k miles on without any problems. I also appreciate the fast shipping speed that allowed me to get the vehicle up and running again quickly. I will buy again when the check valve disappears in another 50k miles. ... show more

No longer blowing oil all over the place

  • Easy to install yourself if you remove some things
I ported this and installed it on my 13 Sonic RS my dislikes is the quality of the casting or mold when made the seams are not tight there is some gapping in the seams maybe it will leak later maybe not time will tell I sealed it with silicone . It's easier to remove if you remove the fuel rail at the manifold then unclip the injector wires set rail to the side also remove the engine bracket that is used by factory to set engine in car right side valve cover and the throttle body and it's pretty easy to take out , I did not do this once before and I struggled with it to get it in and out with the above steps it was very easy . ... show more

  • Buy it if you own a GM 1.4 turbo and have 60k miles
Best price sent to my door quickest. Installation was easy and straight forward. Fixed my smoking at full boost full throttle letting off at 49 mph to no throttle. Fixed my oil consumption. Silly check valve issue. You can plan to replace the intake every 60,000 - 90,000 miles. Poor oem design places a silicone check valve in a non serviceable location resulting in your engine eating it and pressurizing your crankcase, destroying the non-serviceable pcv valve in the valve cover and destroys the check valve in the pcv to turbocharger inlet tube. This part cost me nearly $300 total for it and the ancillary parts it destroyed. ... show more

  • Oem
Absolutely amazing. My car had issues starting at times. I would need to keep the key opened for 10 seconds to activate the ignition. Replace the intake manifold and it runs like new. I believe the issue was l the PCV valve located inside that manifold
