Description

ACDelco GM Original Equipment Radiators are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicles original components. Radiators are heat exchangers, typically located in the front of the vehicle where air can flow through the fins and dissipate heat. Modern radiators are made from aluminum and plastic, while older vehicles used copper and brass. These radiators are designed to be corrosion resistant with optimal heat transfer characteristics. These original equipment radiators have been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

  • Needing a new quality radiator
The radiator on my Yukon had what seemed to be a crack on the plastic side covers. I was losing coolant and summer south Texas heat is very unforgiving. Ordered the radiator, received it and installed it with simple tools. Pay close attention to the transmission line clips, they are small and can disappear in an instant. If you can’t reach the bottom hose from under the vehicle, wait until you disconnect the bottom transmission line. This will allow access from the top in the engine bay. ... show more

  • Fits perfect in 2010 Silverado, 4.8l Flex with Automatic.
DOES NOT have drain valve on lower (Drivers side) Left corner as the factory was... little sorry for not having such option OTHERWISE fits the 2010 Silverado perfect. PACKAGING: Looks generic upon initial inspection, found a single 2 inch square sticker (Genujine GM) on the otherwise plain packaging box. Out of the box, some cooling fins were rubbed and bumped, but no passages were damaged NO LEAKS, this is the bottom line... YOU are getting a quality GM/Chevy quality demanded product for a reasonable price and not paying for the inflation BS were having to deal with right now... IF YOU NEED IT, get it here!!! ... show more

  • GM part. It's a top quality one.
It fits exactly as it should, and easy to install.

  • Redesigned connector for tranmission lines - issue for aftermarket tranmission coolers.
The radiator came packaged well and appeared as a brand new unit and not "blemished" or "second hand" as other reviews commented. Exactly as the original in my 2004 Avalanche with 5.3 engine EXCEPT for the connectors on the radiator for the built in transmission cooler lines. They appear to have been redesigned. On a completely stock vehicle, this would still be a perfect fit and the original transmission lines would just snap in but I have added a Hayden transmission cooler. The Hayden required replacing the upper snap in fitting with a male threaded/barbed fitting which fit the old original radiator (after unscrewing the connector). Upon removing the snap in fitting on the new radiator, the female threads on the radiator are now different, appears metric so standard fittings from the auto parts stores would not work. Ordered Hayden 397 fitting which will now snap in and connect to the hose going to the external cooler. The original Hayden 390 kit does not work with this new radiator. ... show more

  • No engine oil cooler connection
Good replacement. But If your truck is like mine, the original radiator comes with an engine oil and transmission oil connection on the radiator. This replacement only comes with the transmission side connections. I installed a separate engine oil cooler to fix this problem.

  • Be informed.
Radiator seems to be GM OEM goods. This has single core 1.125 thick, so it will have more cooling capability than others. It arrived intact with no shipping damage. It fit perfectly. It has no drain. It had the clips for the transmission lines installed. It has the rubber installation feet. All these things are a major plus for this part however. the radiator has manufacturing defects. The core is sagged in the middle and torqued a bit from flat. It's about 5/8 inches out and the tension will cause it to fail sooner but I believe it will work for a while. If you are selling "B" stock goods it should be stated in the add. I usually send this sort of thing back but it's the only one I could find with the proper core size outside of the dealership. If I were buying this again I would expect it to be less than perfect. The box did have shipping labels from GM to Amazon. This is new just not good enough to sell directly, I mean I would never take this part if I was looking at it before I bought it at a retail store. ... show more

  • Good condition fixed my leak!
Came in in good condition. No drain plug like my original. recommend buying reservoir too because my old one had chunks of coolant which is no good if that goes into the new one. about a 2-4hr job with basic tools. save your old clamps and hose pins. i almost lost one. overall its been about a month and no leaks temp is normal and 01 tahoe 5.3 is running like a champ. ... show more

  • works, but arrived slightly damaged
would rate 5 stars but knocking off one star for receiving a unit with severely bent fins and loose Styrofoam in the box. product had the original FedEx ground shipping label from Tennessee to California, then the UPS label from CA to me in AZ. so this unit has seen quite a few different hands. after inspection, I decided to use the unit anyway, doesn't leak as did the factory unit that was being replaced. coolant flows through as it should to keep the truck cool. this was installed in conjunction with new upper and lower hoses, reservoir, and thermostat. 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 LT Z71 ... show more
