Description

ACDelco GM Original Equipment A/C Accumulators are used in A/C systems with an orifice tube metering device. The accumulator is located between the evaporator and the compressor, and serves to capture and store excess liquid refrigerant. This prevents liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor where it can damage the compressor. This GM Original Equipment A/C Accumulator is a GM-recommended replacement component and has been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

    • "O" Ring Was Missing but the Welds are Awesome
The ACDelco 15-1605 A/C Accumulator Assembly included two large "O" rings for the main inlet and outlet. No problem there. However, the smaller connection for the pressure switch did NOT include a new "O" ring. The buyer should NOT be expected to buy a new pressure switch in order to get a new "O" ring. This is not reasonable. I was forced to use the old "O" ring because of the difficulty in finding a single "O" ring. I would not suggest a person pick up a generic "O" ring at the hardware store because it may not be compatible with the compressor oil and refrigerant. I will charge the system tomorrow and revise this post if the old "O" ring leaks. Otherwise, it worked. On the positive side, the external welds are awesome in visual appearance. I nearly pass on this order because the body weld shown in the picture is grotesque. I prefer authentic ACDelco products for my 1986 Camaro Z28, so this order was a major disappointment. I would have given a 5-star rating if the "O" ring was not missing. ... show more

Did the job and the welds look good. Only thing I didn’t care for was it was made in China, thought with AC Delco it would be made in USA
