This is the NEWER design thermostat and inlet. It pairs perfectly with the AC Delco 251-743 which is not the stock water pump on all 99-06 GM trucks so pay attention to what you have. This does come with a built in gasket and the actual thermostat. This does not come with new bolts (not advertised to). Torque spec for the 2 bolts: 11 ft/lbs. ... show more

Easy assembly that bolts right on to the water pump - easy peasy. Only problem I ran into was that one of the original thermostat housing bolts snapped while torquing things down with a torque wrench. It took about 90 minutes to visit 3 parts stores to find a place that had the right size, thread pitch and length in stock. Considering GM's cost on those bolts is likely just a penny or two, I would have appreciated having new ones included in the packaging. Also, just to note that this seems to be a 187* thermostat. I didn't see that listed in the product info, on the box or stamped on the thermostat itself. This is most likely the same as what came in your vehicle new from the factory. ... show more
