This ball came with batteries already installed. There were three extra sets that came with it, plus the tool to install. We have only had it a week so I’m not sure how long batteries last but it really glows at night. My son LOVES this ball! It was easy to inflate and bounces nicely. It’s cool that it glows and I’m sure it’ll still be fun to play with at night BUT, it’s smaller than I expected, I ordered the large and it’s not a standard ball size , a bit smaller like for a younger kid basketball.
