Some may rightly feel that the thin pieces of wood are difficult to fit together, and I wouldn't disagree, but it's my opinion that the challenge presents an opportunity for growth in developing problem solving skills. We especially appreciate the effective luminescence of the glow-in-the-dark paints, but the standard paints also offer an endless array of colors which can be realized by mixing various colors in a separate container. I was taken aback as I unpacked the product, as I've had my share of mishaps by allowing glitter craft supplies into my home. I was relieved and elated when I realized the glitter is in the form of glue! I'm still being very watchful, of course. The stickers are very cute and add even more variety and room for creativity. A fun and enjoyable guided activity for enrichment and quality time for parents, grandparents and, of course, the children! What I don't like: As I mentioned previously, I feel that the wood pieces are thin and a bit challenging to fit together, but again, I see it as a plus, as it encourages the development of problem solving skills. This painting set was amazing and my kid loved it. Definitely a great way to keep her off-screen and boost her creativity with paints and drawing. However, I felt the butterflies were a bit difficult to take them apart once the pieces are put together, kind of feels like it might break. However, my kid loved painting 2 of them and is waiting eagerly to paint a few more during her school break time. ... show more

I got this Yrinfay Glow in The Dark Butterfly Painting Kit for a family project at my part-time home. We're always on the lookout for fun things to do for multiple ages. My adult girls and I love crafts, as do my grandkids. The youngest is almost 5, but will love joining in. My guess is that her older brother may enjoy, as well. There are some paints and 2 brushes (a flat and a pointed). I have extra ones to distribute. Good if everyone wants to have fun. There's some glitter glue and glow in the dark markers. Also a variety of tiny decal stickers. There are 12 very thin pieces of plyboard shaped like butterflies. They have slits to connect for creating 6 3-D butterflies. If the kids are very young, you may want to assemble these for them. They are quite thin and delicate. There's some hemp rope included for hanging, although I think it would be fun to use fishing line and create a mobile for the bedroom where they can 'fly'. I'm looking forward to using this kit to spend time together. I will update when we've created. I will add that this came in its own package, not covered. such a fun little craft kit . there is 12 wooden butterflys in the set but it is meant to be 6 of them as you put two together to make a 3d butterfly you can however if you want just leave them as the single piece and paint or decorate them . it comes with everything needed to craft the butterflies the paint will dry out easily if it it not properly closed up but paints nicely on the wood . the glow paint does glow pretty good actually . this is a great set for kids who love craft and makes things . my girls loved doing this set ... show more

I really liked this kit, but I do think the claim of 12 butterflies is a tad misleading. There are 12 butterfiles included, that part is true. However, they are designed to fit together to make a 3-D butterfly. There are 6 "fronts" and 6 "backs" that slide together. The sliding is not easy and younger kids may have a struggle to get it to fit. The stickers that came with it are very cute and the kids loved them. The glitter glue and puff paint are fine, but unless you are only doing small dots or designs, it is definitely not enough to decorate 12 butterflies. Four butterflies in and the glow in the dark paint was all gone. The rope was definitely long enough and the other paints were fine, although you may want to use markers or additional paint if truly decorating all 12. I liked this set, but wished it had been more accurate in the description and also had more paint to decorate with. ... show more

Perfect gift for those who like to MAKE things ... or maybe who have always wanted to .. but didn't know quite how to begin .. this is great kit! I think it will be especially enjoyable for those young girls who like to decorate their bedroom. The wooden butterflies can be flat or 3-D ... and painted and glittered to the Nth degree. All the stuff you need is right in this kit .. the wooden butterflies, glow in the dark paints, puffy paint, glitter, etc. etc. everything they need to unleash their creativity. ... show more

My kindergartners LOVES these butterflies. Overal we've had a good experience with them. Unlike another reviewer, we did not have problems with the paints being a bit dry. The pots of paint are a great consistency. I haven't used the glitter paint, but we've used most of the glow paint. The glow paint does glow in the dark and glows well under black light, too. The included piece of paper doesn't really offer instructions and has poor English. It's actually pretty funny to read. Luckily the craft is pretty self-explanatory. The main problems we've had are that the wood is very thin and the two pieces are quite a tight fit. Be sure not to get any paint into the grooves or they probably won't go together. If you paint the whole butterfly at once with a base layer of paint, it may warp a little from the moisture due to the thinness of the board. ... show more
