Beautifully designed and detailed, with a weighted base, it seems quite sturdy. I love the two dangling pull chains, which look like elegant earrings. This lamp is almost exactly what I hoped for except for one thing-- the undertone of the brushed-brass finish is weirdly green. If you have other brass in your home, real or fake, it will likely not match it, so be aware of that. That said, I still like it, just wish it was more of a true-brass color. I'm considering spray-painting it or trying rub'n'buff or something, but I'm afraid that will just ruin it. I'll likely just keep it in a room with only black metal finishes elsewhere so it can't clash. This is definitely more of a decor piece than a useful lamp, due to the opaque nature of the shade. The light is all, of course, directed pretty much straight down. Decent as a side table lamp I guess, but I gotta be honest, it won't get turned on much. I purchased this lamp for my new office (rose gold/white/gray themed), so this lamp goes great with the rest of the decor in my office. It was very easy to put together, takes normal lightbulbs, so no concerns there. Unfortunately, since the lampshade is solid metal, it doesn't give off as much light as I would have hoped. I don't like turning on my overhead light, so I wanted a lamp that gave off a good amount of light, and although the wattage is good, the lampshade definitely obstructs a lot of the light. So - great for decor, but if you're really looking for a lot of light, I would not recommend this lamp. ... show more
