So good, we bought two! This mid-range teleprompter is not without it's problems, but it's a great value and extremely versatile. PROS: - Big glass - Rigid hood - Flexible camera and device mounting options - Great accessories for mounting more tools - Easier to balance (if you need that) than most fixed teleprompters CONS: - The case is just bad; throw it away and pack the item is something else (it should be noted that the case *does* have pins that help lock it and keep the flimsy plastic in place...but do not use this case to pack in a production truck or ship; it will not hold up). - The glass angle can be adjusted, but there is no stop to keep it from falling into the device holders. Move with care or you will crack the glass if it drops! - The unit takes a while to setup properly. - The documentation isn't horrible, but it isn't great...this shouldn't be a problem for anyone used to working with similar systems. - Not gonna work with wide angles as the tablet is very close to the glass. Alrighty, so unlike some teleprompters, this one has a lot of versatility, but that makes it more complicated. Be prepared to spend a bit of time setting it up and balancing. I've gone through several teleprompters over the years for various companies and projects. This one has the biggest glass in the sort of mid-range prompters, which makes it work with big screens, like an iPad Pro. The standard rails is also nice because in addition to the included mounting accessories, many other "cheese plate" and rail systems are compatible. The unit works great for DSLRs and small cameras. I'd be concerned about placing a very large camcorder on it (like the picture shows) due to the long rails stressing under weight. All aluminum construction makes this unit a win for entry level teleprompter users. We make small technical training videos in my department and its always been a struggle to get the speaker to stay on topic and use exact verbiage when it comes to the technically sensitive material being presented. This is the ticket! Takes a little adjusting to get everything set right for your specific camera but overall assembly was easy and straight forward. Any one that is familiar with photo / video gear should have no problems, I'm using a 12.9" Ipad pro with the PromptSmart App which I highly recommend as well. The only complaint I have is the plastic case that in comes in is very flimsy and the latches are poor quality. They won't stay latched so don't trust the case. I didn't need or purchase for the case so it wasn't a problem for me. ... show more

Super useful for upping our game on video production! Works great, cool case, great price. A little intimidating when first opening the case, had to look up the assembly video on YouTube but after that - no problem. We use it with an iPad Pro. Make sure to have a heavy duty tripod.

If you have a larger cinema camera setup, this is the perfect teleprompter. It works for smaller DSLR camera's but it's made for heavier camera rigs. I recommend using it with two tripods. One for the teleprompter and one for the camera. It is limited when it comes to wide angle shots. I was able to frame a 35mm prime lens comfortably. Anything wider than that you will start to see a vignette from the sides of the teleprompter. ... show more

We do live broadcast from our small studio and need to replace a old Teleprompter. This Teleprompter will not let you down. It is one of the best we have used. My only complaint, they could have made the iPad tray a little bigger. We are using the latest iPad Pro and it fits, but we have a case on it and that makes a tight fit. ... show more

    • Fiddly but does the job
Size: 17" Tablet/Monitor Prompter
This is a bit too big for a YouTuber or for doing a Zoom meeting at your breakfast table, but perfect for the kind of small/location studio broadcasting I do with a host from 6-8 feet away. Because the printed instructions aren't written or illustrated very well, it's very fiddly to set up the first time but becomes easier after you've done it once or twice. I paired it with a Lilliput A12 field monitor, which is about the same weight and size as an iPad Pro 12.9 (actually with slightly smaller viewable area after correcting for crop), but with the benefit of adjusting to the necessary mirror reversal. Don't rush through the setup even once you know how to do it, because the large glass is cumbersome and fragile. It's advisable to have a quality, sturdy tripod to mount the teleprompter on. I'm not a fan of some other minor things such as the zippers closing the sides of the shade, but overall the device is very good for making adjustments of fit to your monitor and camera. People aren't kidding about the case. The case itself is solid and not trash, but its inexplicably weak clasps don't snap and lock tight enough for anything but putting on a shelf and taking it down. I certainly wouldn't send it through baggage check without strapping or taping it more securely (but even so, who knows how TSA or customs would leave it if they decided to open it up out of your sight?). So get a better case for it if you need to travel hard. PROS: -- Good build quality for the teleprompter itself. -- Easily adjustable. -- Extra rails and clamps for accessories. CONS: -- Poor instructions make first-time setup tricky. -- Weakly-clasped case has limited usefulness. -- Zippers on sides of shade are fiddly. ... show more
