My hair is colored red which generally lasts a long time (I credit this to matrix color last shampoo which I love) however I decided to do a formaldehyde free keratin treatment a few weeks after coloring so I don’t have to manage my hair while on a trip. I knew the keratin may lighten my hair but I walked in w red hair and left with orangey red and some places even lighter color 😭 Went on my trip and three weeks later decided to give this a try as not to add another process to my already stressed hair. And this product works! It revived my color back to a red and my hair was soft 🙌🏼 I left on 15-20 minutes. Like any at home color product it requires some caution or it will stain your tub/sink/anything. I definitely recommend gloves. I section my hair and make sure it’s not too wet to splash around color. As mentioned it does not color your grays or seem to add color to my natural brown roots. I read that also in reviews and somehow thought well it just may ‘stain’ it a little since it’s adding color to the rest- no it does not and I’ve accepted that my chemistry classes from 20 years ago didn’t fully explain the science to me but it’s true. So I’ve used this product a couple times and thankful for the refresh of red but in the meantime my roots are growing in so this is a great temporary fix for the rest of your hair. The biggest con- the bottle. It’s an awkward shape and quite stiff to squeeze- with messy red color on your gloves- and there’s no way to avoid getting color all over it as you do your hair and try to squeeze this bottle. So I find myself delaying using this and I’m not sure I’d repurchase because of this over the garnier color deposit red product I’ve used. ... show more

I wanted the impact of going red without the commitment, which lead me down the rabbit hole of color depositing hair masks. Honestly, I went with this one becuase of the price and convenience of ordering it on Amazon. I would recommend having a friend on stand by to help you out this in your hair; it’s super difficult to make sure it’s fully covered on your own. The design of the bottle also make it’s hard to squeeze without an extra set of hands. I have very fine, but dense hair and my partner and I spent over an hour making sure it was fully saturated, section by section. In the first picture you will see natural, virgin hair - dirty blonde with some natural low & highlights. The color looked good as I let it sit for 20 minutes and I was getting excited, but when I rinsed it out I was so disappointed there wasn’t much color pay off. So I tried again. And then again. After 3 times, I was content with the way the color turned out (picture 2) but then I went out into the sun 😳. Natural light made it glaring obvious where the color didn’t take and made it look like a bad, patchy dye job. I wore my hair up whenever I was outside but I suppose the silver lining is that, when indoors (where I spend 99% of my time) my hair looked fine - Good, even! After all 3 applications, I ended up using the entire bottle on my collar bone length hair trying to even the color out, but no luck (3rd picture). At this point, I accepted it for what it was and figured it would wash out eventually so no worries. It has been 2 weeks since my initial application and I have washed my hair probably 4 times, but shampoo twice each shower to speed up the fading process. The problem is, though, the color has almost complete washed out of my roots and baby hairs, but is staying pretty saturated on the ends. I know the company does warn of staining on light blonde hair, and I do have some naturally lighter pieces, so I took that risk when I applied it. but It seems to have washed off of the lightest parts and is clinging to the rest? it looks bizarre to have blonde roots and red ends. I think the intended use of this product is to refresh hair that is already that color, not offer drastic color changes. I also didn’t really notice my hair being any softer (in fact, I lost ALOT of hair in the “dying” process but I can’t 100% say it’s because of this product). TL;DR I wouldn’t recommend using this to drastically change your hair color b/c the bottle design is hard to use, the color didn’t apply uniformly, and it doesn’t fade/wash out evenly. ... show more

Color: Sheer Glow
I used clear. Bleach and color over graying, long hair, every 3 weeks, leaves my hair a little dull. I put this on a few days after color and it brings back the shine and the life. Wash well. Towel dry till very damp. Apply from root to tip. Brush through like a conditioner. Leave on 20 minutes. Wash out with gentle shampoo, then light condition. Good for at least a couple of weeks. I get 2.5 to 3 applications per bottle. I have a lot of hair but fine, almost to my waist. Product is thick, which means no waste. After 1st application, I store the bottle upside down. Better to be difficult to get out than running all over the place. Overall, great product! I took off 1 star because poor directions, and hard to get out of the bottle. Highly recommend. You can re-treat as needed-- every 1 to 3 weeks without damaging hair. Shine on! PS. Not getting paid for this; just like the product. XX ... show more

Color: Chocolate Gleam
This was my first time using a gloss/glaze product. What I first noticed was the scent. I have a keen sense of smell and I did NOT like it at all. And... boy howdy, previous posters were accurate about the bottle. It is so hard to squeeze the contents out of it especially when you are in the midst of trying to do your hair with gloves on. They definitely need to do something about that bottle because it is NOT easy. I chose Chocolate Gleam because my current hair color is Dark Mahogany Brown. It made my hair darker, which wasn't what I was going for. It DID make my hair look glossy and very soft. I did not notice any "color bleeds" because I made sure to wash my hair thoroughly. I decided to return it because of the smell. It's a deal breaker for me because I'm prone to headaches. UPDATE- I have tried another gloss product and it was so drying to my hair. It didn't work at all. After comparison to the Glaze product, (which is MUCH better), I have decided to order the clear and try again. Because it DID work and left my hair soft and glossy. Therefore, I am giving an extra star for that. I still don't like the scent but maybe I can overcome it?? Here's for keeping my fingers crossed. ;)) ... show more
