  • My shrimp LOVE THESE
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
My shrimp absolutely love these. they all come out and graze the **** out of these whenever i put one in once a week if the old one is gone. Pros -shrimp love it -easy to put in, stab in moss ball tilt ball so its not going straight up. Cons -They DESTROY sponge filters. I would turn off the sponge filter for about a day or two after throwing in one of the sticks, it took 2-3 hours for my water flow from my filter to go from normal, to no water being pushed out. cleaned my sponge later and filter back to normal. ... show more

  • The algae sticks are a clear favorite
Flavor Name: Algea Power
I started with the mixed pack and after testing them in 4 of my shrimp tanks, the algae lollies were the ones that they consistently favored. I'm sure shrimp enjoy all of the flavors, but the algae sticks just attract neocaridina shrimp like magnets. If I put one in my RCS tank (my biggest colony at the moment) there will be at least 15 of shrimp on the stick within 10 minutes. Sometimes I catch them crawling over each other to find a spot to eat. My most recent tank is full of juvenile sunkist orange shrimp and they haven't quite figured out the feeding dish but I was surprised at how fast they realized the lolly was food and latched on. Since they are newer and young it is good to see them eating something so quickly and easily. These are a little pricey but worth it to me. I usually give them once every few weeks as a treat. I realized the other day that these sticks provide an added bonus of being able to see if my darker colored shrimp are carrying eggs. I have a tank full of black rose shrimp and it's nearly impossible to see if they are berried the way you can with red/orange/blue shrimp. I noticed one of the bigger females fanning while she was on the stick eating and with the way the stick was positioned I was able to see up the underside of her skirt to find that she was, indeed, carrying eggs. Hooray! So not only do these allow you to check by having something the shrimp swarm all over, but it also allows you to see their underside to check for eggs as well. ... show more

  • NO WAY WORTH THE PRICE
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
I just received the four flavors variety pack, with the thought of ascertaining which (if any) the shrimp really liked. FIRST, none are labeled! SECOND, their offering suggests that we receive TWO packs... it is ONE pack of eight. THIRDLY, the cost is WAY TOO MUCH for what we get. FORTHLY, I am whining about the price before I even tried them! ADDENDUM to my original comments...the shrimp love them all...but, there is only a thin coating on the sticks; gone in no time at all. Not good; will certainly not be a regular treat for my shrimp. ... show more

  • Treat food for showing off your shrimp and checking colony
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
I have 2 tanks of neocaridinias. I enjoy putting one of these in and watching the big and little shrimps line up on the stick within minutes. Some caveats. If I have fed a lot, they wont be too interested. This is true in general, if your shrimp are finding plenty in the tank to eat already, they wont swarm pellets or these sticks the same way if its a bare tank, or its been a couple days between solid feedings. They are way too expensive for a regular food, and the coating is pretty thin which means overnight it will be stripped bare. To be fair you wouldnt expect to find a food pellet still lying on the sand overnight either. In my opinion, the best use for this food is simply for taking good pictures of your shrimp, health checks or showing them off. So theyre more a treat for you, the aquarist. ... show more

  • DO NOT KILL YOUR SHRIMP WITH THESE STICKS.
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
I had read the reviews for this product and unfortunately didn't think that it could be as bad as everyone had said it was and decided to give a try anyway. After adding one of the sticks to my tank, only one shrimp was even remotely interested. I left this in for just a few minutes, no takers at all, but even that was too much. Trying to take it out made it just dissolve into a cloud of whatever is on these sticks. My filter handled it quite well but I woke up this morning to seven dead shrimp in the tank and had to do a 75% water change since everything in it was struggling. Thankfully I woke up early and saved it from being a total disaster. Although this is a cool concept, it is a bad idea to introduce this amount of food into your tank. Lesson learned. ... show more

  • Shrimp mostly ignored them
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
These are very small for the price—a little less than 8 inches. They look much larger in the photos, but that’s my fault for not paying enough attention to the description. Still, I would have considered buying them as an occasional treat if my Blue Dream shrimp had loved them. They mostly ignored them, though. One would nibble for a few seconds ever so often, then they’d moved on to something else. The corys and snails enjoyed them, though. ... show more

  • KILLED ALL MY SHRIMP!!!
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
DO NOT BUY!!! killed all my shrimp. I have them on and within an hour of them eating they were all dead. I thought maybe it was fluke so I got more shrimp and tried a different colored one and they all died as well. Before the lollipops my shrimp were alive and healthy for a very long time.

  • Shrimp and snails love it and convenient food form
Flavor Name: 4in1 Power
These are super convenient for feeding and snails do love them. My baby mystery snails loved the artemia ones especially and the shrimp like them as well. The food stays on the stick so you don't have to worry about mucking up your tank and they eat every little bit. They also threw in a few pellets samples which my shrimp (and snails) were all over. Wish they were a little cheaper or had more in there for the price but my critters are happy. ... show more
