So, I bought these for my 3 year old just to give her a strength, balance and coordination advantage. I must say, these skates are REAL! They are heavy and just like regular skates. Now, can she skate in them right now? Nope, not at all. But, they are great in having because they grow with her, they secure her ankles very well, and they come in a carrying bag that even makes her feel like a "big girl".
