Three wire cables worked fine, but the converter box was not functioning. Tried the converter box on two newer TV's and it didn't work for either. The three-wire cable worked fine so I didn't return it.

I had an old vhs/dvd combo player with no hdmi connections. I bought new Samsung Smart TV that also didn't have HDMI connections. This thing is a miracle. Came in a day sooner and my son is happy he can play his retro games on our larger screen tv. The hook up was easy and pretty much self explanatory. No special skill set to hook it up. Tomorrow, I’ll break out the ole video camera and tapes and take a trip down memory lane.
