It is extremely thick and you will need to purchase a pump to get it out. Someone made a comment about some of the ingredients being dangerous, but I checked the ewg database and that statement isn't true. Phenoxyethanol is rated 2 to 4 and if you use this lotion the way it is intended, then the rating would be a 2. I am a Master Formulator, It is my job to know what ingredients are, but if I have question I check one of the national databases. There is nothing in this product that is considered harmful, but if you are looking for a pourable lotion, this is not what you are looking for. Organic lotions are only 73% organic because all lotions need preservatives. I like the thickness, and it is moisturizing. I think this lotion base is the best product of it's kind. I have finally found a product that meets my standards to be used on a consistant basis for my own product. Thank goodness I don't have to keep looking. This is exactly what I wanted and my clients love the finished product. The only issue I had was with shipping. This product was sent in the same bag as the paper product I bought. Somehow, The lid was opened and had spilled into the mailing package. The paper product that I purchased was destroyed by the spilled lotion.My advice, ask that this item be shipped in a box like package and alone.
