I groom my own two dogs at home (I work reception at a dog groomer so I learned how to do it myself) and these work fantastic! The case is great and I love that there is a metal comb included that matches the scissors! The comb is free floating in the case but there is a divider as well as an extra loose cleaning cloth. It comes with the tool to adjust the screw on the scissors as well. My biggest concern was the sharpness of them and while they aren’t the sharpest grooming shears I’ve ever used, they definitely aren’t dull either. Based on other reviews, it seems like it’s hit and miss with sharpness but one good sharpening and they’ll last a long time depending on how much you use them. I use them to cut my dog’s hair and also my own and they worked great for everyone’s hair! The finger holes are on the smaller side but I haven’t gotten my fingers stuck yet. I’ve had a few close calls but I’m always able to get them off. These are definitely better for people with smaller fingers but if you have larger fingers, just hold them correctly and make sure they don’t slip over that last knuckle and it’s fine. ... show more

This is a great set, especially the oppositely curved blade pairs (two of them), and the thinning shears (where the one blade looks like a comb's teeth). They work well to shape the eyebrows and the beard area on my mini-Schnauzer. This is especially true when working on areas of the hair that should be smoothly rounded rather than straight. All pairs have rounded, blunt tips on them in case the pooch flinches during the snips. (I'd much rather have this than scissors that are pointed at their far ends.) A metal comb for straightening hair snags or smaller matting knots is also included, as well as a "handsome, zippered carrying/storage case". I've been grooming several Schnauzers and a Wire Haired Terrier owned by family members over the last fifty-five years, and having this set earlier would have made those jobs much more easy to do for both me and the dogs. A small microfiber cloth is also included for wiping the scissors and comb after use. No amateur nor professional groomer should be without this set. ... show more

They seem to be well made and fit my hands but they are not sharp. I have a mega coated Mini Schnauzer, having to make 2-3 passes to get one cut.
