I have tried several razor blades over the years including the subscription sevices. What is good for some is not necessarily good enough for everyone. I have sensitive skin and have gravitated towards men's blades for quite some time, because older Venus shave blades did not work for me. The men's razors seemed to have a closer shave. Switching from using men razors to this one has made my shaving experience much better as a person who has sensitive skin. It IS gentle on the skin even if you push hard, which you shouldn't but.. it is safe to use, it glides smoothly and lasts quite a bit before replacing the blade, I wish I discovered this brand a long time ago, I rarely have ingrown hairs, cuts, or anything of that sort, go for it! ... show more

After tormenting myself with those plastic disposal razors, I purchased the Venus razor and have bought refills several times since. It's worth it. Comfortable and great shave...it can be hard to find the refills locally but Amazon has them in stock. Recommend.

okay seriously I was really skeptical that these would be different from the sensitive disposable ones that I use for legs and underarms, but they really are different. these seem to cause me to not have to shave my pubic area as often. they don't irritate and somehow honestly it feels more gentle than other razors. it is also able to get the closest shave ever. I have also not experienced any razor bumps or ingrown hairs although I am not normally very susceptible to them. anyway I'm just back to reorder again for the 3rd time. heck this might be the first and only thing I get on recurring order, that is how good they are. I do wish the refills also came with covers. I would suggest to only use this for your pubic area. I have no clue why people are using this for their legs and then complaining about it; it says on the package that it is for pubic hair. and instead of shave creams perhaps people should try a gentle non foaming face wash. I use Kate Somerville goat milk face cleanser and it is perfect as a shave cream down there. ... show more
