This is not a paid review. It’s from a real mom. I purchased this for my daughter that is 5’2” 135lb. It fits perfectly. Unfortunately I made a mistake when I placed my order and when my daughter opened it for Christmas she noticed it was the wrong year tassel. I felt so badly about it so I just contacted seller not even expecting a response and thinking I would just need to just purchase a new tassel with right year. To my surprise, I received a small package in the mail and I opened it, it was the correct tassel. I couldn’t have been happier and so very grateful. What exceptional customer service. I ordered this in the length appropriate for my height (5'7") and it was way too baggy for me. Luckily I have pretty good sewing skills from taking classes and was able to take it in and make the sleeves as well as the width of the gown smaller. I also shortened it a few inches and it still looked professional. It did arrive with a few long threads which I took care of after tailoring it to my size. Which makes me thankful for having ordered this too big rather than too small. I only wore it once and it looked exactly like all the other gowns so I have no negative comments about it. I bought this gown, cap and tassel set for our daughter, who was graduating from nursing school. The school said that as long as the gown and cap were black the students could get them anywhere. The school had a company (Josten's) selling announcements, gowns, rings, etc. for MUCH more money than I could buy them elsewhere. So I ordered here on Amazon for $20. It arrived quickly, and after a quick low-temp ironing the gown looked great! The zipper is good quality and the material is also. The gown fit just right, based on the size chart on the main product page. The cap also fit just right and didn't need any adjustments or ironing. My daughter had to buy an official tassel through the college, but we save $50 just by comparison shopping. Highly recommend this gown and cap! You want your graduate to look good, but shouldn't have to pay highway robbery prices for something they will wear once for a couple of hours. We saved about $40 on this- We were told to purchase from the school (Jostens) and they were selling cap/gown pacakges for $60. I decided to check on Amazon and sure enough- we purchased for $20 and these are EXACTLY the same as the ones everyuone else was wearing. My daughter was worried so she called the school and asked... of course they told her that they would not be the same and that she HAD to purchase from the school. I knew that was not true so followed through with my gut and bought this anyway- glad I did (and so was my daughter in the end). I know the school probably makes money off each sale on the ones from Josten's but we are outta there for good and they got way too much of my hard earned dollars over the years anyway! HAHA- I do not know where you are from, but public schools in Illinois are not FREE! HAHA- I say this because my Texas friends are shocked by this. ... show more

Very nice matte robe. Here is a review of the specifics I was looking for but not in other reviews. First, robe is made of medium weight solid black fabric, blocks out clothes underneath so whatever is underneath won't show through. Second, zipper, stitching, and hem are all very well sewn. Third, robe drapes without any pulls or puckers down the arms and side seams, hem is straight; pleats across the chest front are even, giving a professional look; stitching was even throughout and threads clipped inside and out. Last, cap has elastic on two sides, the flat top has a sturdy insert, the cap inside was fabric finished. It fit my daughter's rather large, rounded head and with bobby-pins will stay on perfectly. Tassel was wrapped separately and came with a 2017 and 2018 clip that we can switch. Generous length for what we selected; with pleats will fit basically any size person (including women with larger bustline). So, overall---a really great professional robe, cap, and tassel. I’m disappointed that the shade of pink was very misleading. I honestly would’ve never bought it if I knew that it wasn’t going to be consistent with the picture listing. Because it is inconsistent with the color in the listing, I now have to order from a different seller because the shade of pink does not match my tassel or other items. Who wants to wear 2 different shades of pink on their long awaited graduation day? Not me or the next person. It also is long around the arm length and is a bit see through in the front around the zipper, which is tacky. The way it was described in the listed is a true light pink shade, and thick— THATS NOT WHAT I GOT! And also the cap seems kinda small. I won’t be wearing this! If you want to look like a low budget choir director on your graduation day, this is the listing for you! ... show more
