Bought this to use as a lightweight alternative to a sleeping bag to use on warm weather camping trips. I tested this out on a recent camping trip where overnight lows were around 55-60F and this was perfect for that temperature. Kept me warm while sleeping but not so warm that I woke up sweating. I would probably use this as long as temperatures are above 50F, maybe 45 if i'm feeling brave. Anything colder than that and a real sleeping bag or heavier quilt might be a better choice. I originally ordered one for myself, after buying one I bought three more as gifts. This blanket is very warm for its size. It’s great to keep on the couch, or keep in the backpack or car.

I went from very skeptical to very impressed within 20 minutes. At first, this looks like a total waste of money. When you first open it, it's very, very, very flat and looks like it has hardly any down in it at all. However, let it loft for 20 minutes and you'll see a whole new blanket! I shined a light through it and went back to being skeptical as it doesn't look very full of down everywhere, however, yet again, once I covered with it, and became way too warm for inside, I became impressed yet again haha. Then, I took it out for a test at 33F while testing other backpacking gear and I'm using it two fold; to hang up in my tent and drape down over my upper body while watching movies. I didn't think to hang a thermometer, but after a few minutes I became very warm and then midway through my movie, I was taking off my sweatshirt and just wearing my thermal and a t-shit. It's near freezing outside remember. I'm sure it was well over 70F if not over 80F in my "tent within a tent" if you will. I totally forgot I was laying outside in 33F winter haha. It's going to work out great. The other thing I'm using it for, if need be, is to drape over my mummy bag (with a 0F comfort rating) in case I need it while sleeping, while out in the back country. It has a couple loops for some straps I'll add, so I just stitched on some loops on the other side too. This will hold it like any other backpacking quilt but MUCH cheaper! At only 1 lb, this will add FAR more than just another 10F or so, you get from adding a fleece liner. I would say, this will easily add 20, if not 30 more degrees to my sleeping bag, when strapped down, loosely (to keep it's loft) and I won't even bother with lugging the lb fleece like I also planned. I'll of course be testing this theory before going miles into the woods, but based on what it did for me hanging up over my upper body with a good 3' square worth of space up over my upper body and head, I'm sure this will add a lot of power to the sleeping bag and it's going to be great for back packing with it. It might not look like much and yeah for a little blanket, it looks pricey for what it is. Based on how it performed for me at 33F I'm VERY happy with what I payed. ($72 total in 2022) The other reviewers helped me decide. You guys got it right. It didn't look like it's worth it's cost and it doesn't in person either but it performs better than it's cost, so thanks guys! ... show more

This blanket is so soft, cozy, and warm. I love it & so does everyone I’ve let use it! We don’t only use it for camping but it is great for that. It even has snaps so you can secure it around yourself.

We had a three-day hike planned with a super-lightweight sleeping bag (Litume, rated to 48F for comfort) since the weather was supposed to be no lower than the mid-40s. A few days before the trip, the forecast dropped to low-30s/high-20s. Yikes! With not a lot of pack space (40 L packs) and a 4000-ft climb ahead of us, we needed something that could keep us warm and fit the limited specs at low pack weight. These did the job like crazy. As another review said, it doesn't look like it will keep you warm, but it works like magic. We wrapped one of these around the outside each of the mummy bags, and were so warm and cozy I even kicked off my socks and lower thermals during the night. ... show more

I'm a cold girl. I go numb when it's 50F out. This blanket is so freaking warm and will be out at home and come with me on all my camping trips. I got it to throw over my sleeping bag on colder nights out camping (even though I have a 0 degree bag). Not sure how itll hold up against dog claws when the dog walks on it but I dont think I would consider that a design flaw and the material seems like itll hold up well to getting patched. yay! ... show more

I do enjoy this blanket. Decent price or packs down small for the warmth. But some of the pockets are completely empty with zero loft as you can clearly tell in photos while some are puffed and other are not. I store all my down gear loosely on hangers so it’s not from me packed too long.! Just simply better quality control would make this a 5 star product. ... show more
