I had the black tie down shown here already on the battery in my old Miata - I didn't have the chrome bolt like piece that kept the black battery tie down in place. That tie down in my car slid over and touched the positive pole on my battery and shorted my car out while in the passing lane at rush hour. I could have been killed. It cost $8 to get the set here with the long chrome piece to keep my battery tie down safely in place. Check your car battery. I need this to replace my broken battery holder. The previous one was having rubber connector that held the battery at the top and so it broke after few months. I replaced it with this. I hope this will last as it's metal and it also it has screw to lengthen it if required.
