I make production mugs for shows and I hoped for a nice tool to cut quick handles so I ordered this. The handle is a simple rectangular handle with an angled end. The tool itself is cut sheet metal and I like the simplicity of the construction of the cutting head. Overall it cuts pretty well and doesn't clog much. But...cutting a lot at a time, it gets uncomfortable quickly. I really don't like design it cuts and the feel of the handle whether its rotated inward or outward. Also, clearly its going to take a learning curve to use this type of tool for handles. They wouldn't keep their shape when pulling through the clay. I use Laguna BMIX5, which is a very soft clay. The beginning of the pull was one shape, but by the time I got through the 6" block of clay the handle was thinner. Returning.
