It's a great idea, but its trying to do too much at this price point and therefore fails horribly.... Buy the Denon MC4000 instead and a cheap laptop... I needed a simple controller to playback my own music. This seems very appealing because it comes with alot of great features and its super convieniet that both decks can read from the same usb stick. And not needing a laptop is awesome... The problem... Quality and reliability The mic in didn't work from the factory... Thats a big deal. It sounds like it has a gate filter that was malfunctioning. The sound quality is terrible! It will not play WAV files not a deal breaker ... The screen display and navigation is good. The waveform display is useless... Overall if it worked I would have probably stuck with it. Not having to connect to a laptop is a wonderful concept. Ended up Sending it back and going with the Denon MC4000... The fact that 40.00 more gets you SIGNIFICANTLY better build quality, 24 bit playback, EQ and 2 mic inputs its a way way better deal... Sad this could have been good ... show more

My first intentions were to return this product cuz I couldn't get it to work right,but after Messing around with the settings on my Mac, and getting rid of the cheap usb flash drives she started to work just fine. I had to watch alot of YouTube videos to work thru the vdj bugs, but at the end it was worth it . I have alot of fun with this gmix, and I tend to mix alot more now because of its small size and quick set up time. I would give this product a 4.5 stars, and would recommend this gemini for someone that wants to start out , and doesn't want to spend alot of money. ... show more
