It took a tiny bit longer than usual to receive, but, come on, who orders Christmas trees in April? The tree did not disappoint. It is impeccably packaged. It comes with directions my cat could understand and they include “fluffing gloves!” How cool is that? The color of the tree is realistic and, the needles don’t shed excessively. This is quite important, because the same cat that can read the easy-to-understand directions, also likes to eat needles from artificial Christmas trees. I did not open up (fluff) all the branches yet, because, hey, it’s April, and I left it in its compact shipping (or storing) condition. I will snap a picture and another review in November or December, when I actually assemble and decorate it. I’ve wanted a Balsam Hill tree for a while and I’m sure this will be really nice. Haven't finish arranging all the branches and bristles because there are so many. It looks real and very pretty. I bought 6 ft tree and it's 6 ft to the top of the branch sticking straight up, so the tree is really only about 5'8. Shorter than I would have liked. Easy to assemble.. just takes a while because of all the branches. Still a good deal for the money ... show more

Assembly was easy. Especially nice of them to provide gloves to protect your hands while "fluffing" the tree. Negative: About the third branch I fluffed, a twig fell out. Then another. And a third. I just hid them from the wife so she would not get a negative opinion, but it makes me a bit leery about the long term life of the tree. The tree looks great though. ... show more

As I unboxed the tree I noticed 2 broken plastic pieces and loose needles in the bottom of the box. Yeah, I know I should’ve packed it up and sent it back at that point… I chose not to because the branch ends looked fairly realistic. I had shopped around in stores quite a bit and thought I did my online homework well enough. The reviews for Balsam Hill trees were mostly favorable, my review is honest! I was still able to assemble the tree, it looks acceptable. To be clear, this tree is of poor quality and just NOT worth what I paid for it. Sadly, I doubt this tree will last 11 years like my last one (which I had to toss after a basement flood.). ... show more

I had a "live" tree fiasco this season, it lasted only a week and a half, so decided it was time to change to artificial. Automatically went to Amazon to search, and decided on Balsam Hill. Was very impressed by the pictures and so many reviews. Bought the 6 ft. unlit and I am very impressed with the quality. Easy to set up, first time fluffing does take a while, but I like fussing, and it comes with silky gloves to protect your hands making it even easier. The color is very believable, and the branches are full and plentiful. All in all, a beautiful tree, even with no decorations. My only worry at this late date was the ad was marked "may not come before Christmas, delivery between 12/22-28/17. It was at my home within 3 days, but could be because I live in NY and it was coming from NJ. Whatever, it made me happy! I absolutely recommend this company and their beautiful trees. ... show more
