Arrived today, no damage at unboxing. Every pretty much lined up well, no broken buckles or hinges, no scratches. All hardware was secure and straight. This is a great case at a great price, better than I expected based on reviews. Fits my Strat & Tele like a glove, no movement at all. Hard to tell from Amazon’s item pics, but there is extended padded foaming on the lid that presses against the guitar to secure it when closed. I wouldn’t trust this on a plane or in a trailer touring, but it’s absolutely perfect for toting around town to gigs and studio, or simply for safe storage. I may buy the black one for my Strat. Very satisfied with this purchase, hope it holds up over time. ... show more

Solid build. Heavy. Looks sharp from across the room if you like tweed. The buckles work well and hold tight. But there are minor manufacturing defects like the end binding is glued down crooked, the binding was torn in one place and there's a small ding in mine on one of the back edges. There's no molding on the inside except for a neck support but it holds a stratocaster securely enough. It stands straight on end with a strat inside without tilting over. If you are looking for a nice tweed case and don't want to spend a bunch of money, this is it. This case well worth the price and very high quality.

It's not expensive so I didn't expect much. I was surprised because the case appears well-made. It fits a Schecter Hellraiser or a C-1 E/A. They are slightly longer than a Strat. There is a little extra room above the headstock too. The interior panel could be deeper but only a little. I put a 10- pack box of strings in and the panel door, which is padded sat up but only slightly and didn't affect the seating of the guitar. I wasn't expecting the case to feel as solid as it does. I inspected the seams and didn't see tears cuts or extra glue. The lid and body match up well and the clasps work properly, though I did not use the locking feature. The stitching also seemed of good quality and the brass components seem to be affixed well. The yellow herringbone pattern cloth covering the majority of the exterior feels a little thin. But transporting it and having it shift about in the car (I have two of these and in the car one pushed up against the other, brass feet touching the cloth) did not result in tears or serious blemishes. There are brass feet on two sides of the case. They are balanced well and both cases I received laid flat and even on both sides. The handle placement is well-balanced for the uneven weight of a guitar. The padding is adequate. I don't think I'd trust an airline with a guitar in here without extra padding. But if you aren't frequently dropping your case this should be fine. There is no shoulder strap. But the well-placed handle which is comfortable to hold and also well-made and the slightly slimmer design make up for the lack of a strap or connections for a strap. ... show more
