Description

I had put my nail through the butt of my wetsuit after not using it for a LONG time - and I used this stuff as directed to amazing results. I ended up using it on the crotch area, too, because the seam was coming undone. Couldn't be happier. Then I used it to "fortify" the seems on the back. You can't tell when I've got it on that I used it at all, my repairs were on the back. Also..I didn't just glob it on, I put some of it on a dish I didn't care about and then used a 1/4" hard bristle little paint brush to brush it over the area. For the crotch spot, I made some clean lines that were like a half moon shape - kinda like the gusset shape/placement so it didn't look weird. Honestly, I don't think anyone would tell it was repaired because I didn't just shove it on there all Willy-nilly. Plus, I mean, what's the harm of putting a little more than you need in an area that gets decent use? I'd rather have a little more and repair once then have to double up later. Also, it IS nice and pliable once dry. I left mine to "cure" for a few days - why risk it? But I love the results. Also, it functions - no leaks. So...just do it. It's better than any I've used before. Also...as for the tubes. Just do what I did. Get the amount you think you'll need out at the start then brush it on. Then you don't leave the cap off the tube so it doesn't dry out while you're working. Will you maybe use a little more than you need? Maybe...but you won't waste the whole tube like if you leave it open to dry out! Also, store in a cool place in a ziplock bag and you'll be good to go. Oh, I also used it to put a patch on my other wetsuit - an iron on patch. You can't iron neoprene - no matter what YouTube tells you (women...! We're crazed!)...I had a stain on my yellow wetsuit from hanging it somewhere stupid and I'm OCD so it bothered me beyond belief. I got a cool patch that matched the "vibe" of my suit (because there was also a little hole there I wanted to cover)...carefully applied this stuff to the patch and my suit, and stuck a carnival mallet (no really), over it for 2 days. And voila! Perfect patch! Also, it's not TOTALLY clear if you use it on a lighter portion of your suit. It comes off "shiny" on the black parts, my yellow suit got a little "grey" around the patch but whatever - it's better than it was looking. ... show more

While adequate for mending an outdoor tent I used it for fixing my ballistic nylon suitcase. Worked great. Recommend you do so outdoors. Survive traveling through 12 countries last week. Completely watertight.

I had a 12" long slice in my SUP board. I sealed it liberally. Let sit overnight and it's held strong ever since. SUP boards are inflated to 14lbs which is super high pressure and the seal has held no problem through many SUP days on the lake

I had a rip down the seam on my rain coat. It's just made of PVC rain material. I placed a lining of the glue down the seam as luckily for me it didn't rip anywhere else off the seam. I let it cure over night and tried to test it pulling it apart. I was not comfortable pulling it any hard as it was separating at the seam. I flattened the area on the outside and placed another thin layer to bond it with the outside of the jacket with the seam. It was a lot better after I applied the layer on the outside. It's shiny from the light but it's a rain jacket. Testing it out by pulling it, it held good, so good, I stretched the fabric that wasn't bonded. It does have stiff feel with some give. I didn't mess around to much after waters. The sealing is good. No water penetrated after I doused it under running water. Very good product. The only hard part is waiting for the curing time. It recommends 8-12 hours. If you have time I would get this. But if you don't have time, I would instead get the package with cure accelerator which is suppose to cut the time down to 2 hours. I'm not sure if putting it in the freezer is a good idea as the package suggests. But my tube has hardened stiff. If it doesn't soften up when I leave it out as I have another project I have to get to. I'll update the post. Other than that, avoid the fumes. ... show more
