I've just bought my 3rd one of these mic stands because a little plastic collar with a set screw keeps breaking. It makes the upper part of the mic stand wobbly when this happens. But, I like it enough, and it is convenient enough to buy yet another. This will probably be my last one, though. I've tried the manufacturer's website to see if I can buy replacement parts, but they are not selling them. ... show more

I tried using it with a U87, and the arm slowly slipped down.. As if it were an old mic stand. It’s also very unstable if the boom is extended more than half way, which defeats the purpose of a boom stand. The boom arm is already short, so at half boom the vocalist is kicking the base of the stand.

The delivery was strange in that box was open when I found it on the front porch. I don't know if there were any parts or instruction materials missing. Also I usually get a photo and an email asking "how was your delivery?" but it was not the case with this item. The stand is quite sturdy
