  • Nice mic stand
Style: 12" Weighted Base - Deluxe Height Adjust Pattern Name: Stand
I haven't had it terribly long, true, but I won't be adjusting it much (if ever again, really), as I have it set up to hold a reflection shield. It will likely stay where it is for a long, long time. For a microphone, this is a pretty good stand. Don't expect it to work for a big LDC (6-10lbs/3-5kg), as it isn't quite up to that, but for a small mic, it is quite nice. As stated before, I did hook up a reflection shield to it, and it is OK if you don't actually extend the section with the grip. If you do extend it, the 1kg or so of the shield isn't well supported, and the section bends with the weight pretty badly. I am lucky in that this isn't a deal breaker for me, since I could anchor the top of the stand to my wall (due to proximity) and all is OK. Again, I'm not moving this thing around... So, if you need to use this for a small mic (something like an SM58), you're good to go. Go with something big, heavy, and on a side mounted shock mount, and it might not be the best for you. I'm giving it 4 stars, as I do think that it is nice for the price if you know what you're getting into and it fits your needs. ... show more

  • Great As a Heavy Mirroless Camera Stand too!
Style: 12" Weighted Base Pattern Name: Stand
Very heavy base, seems to have precision and strength! I had a unique application, wanted to use my Panasonic GH-4 and accessories as a 4k webcam, but had very little space behind a large, 43" Philips monitor. There is a window directly behind, or would have mounted a shelf, no tripods would fit. this mic stand, along with a cheap ball head 5/8" adapter did the trick! My ONLY reservation, is it seems impossible to really torque down and lock the height adjustor. Nothing is sliding, but it feels like it could! ... show more

  • Solid base for a custom iPad Pro stand.
Style: 12" Weighted Base Pattern Name: Stand
Used as base for boom arm with iPad Pro 12.9" mount at its end. The combination positions the iPad perfectly -- and quite sturdily -- for treadmill use. I added a 3-pound counterweight (cheaper on eBay) for the telescoping boom arm and a quick-release ball head to attach the iPad mount. Altogether, the price came in around $130 -- and gave me a respectably solid stand for an expensive electronic device easily mounted/dismounted/adjusted when I want to use the treadmill and have something to take my mind off a deadening (for me, anyway) daily treadmill hour. • Durability????
Style: 12" Weighted Base - Deluxe Height Adjust Pattern Name: Stand
I actually like the stand but thought it would be a little more durable. The base cracked seems to have had a hairline crack that is getting larger.

  • Great for taller singers!
Style: 12" Weighted Base Pattern Name: Stand
I'm 6'2, so I needed a mic stand that would go a little further than standard. This mic stand allows plenty of adjustment, the base is wider than the cheaper stands, and there's a sufficient weight to it that it FEELS quality. I use this nearly every day with my band, and the only gripe I have about it is that if you put any significant weight on the top of it, it will go down a little. That's more my own personal issue that I need to correct, and not so much an issue with the stand. Absolutely invest. Do NOT buy a $20 mic stand, you'll regret it. ... show more

  • Update- 2nd one broke too. the clutch cracked and made it unusable.
Style: 12" Weighted Base - Deluxe Height Adjust Pattern Name: Stand
Bad quality. Prob Chinese made. First noticed when you adjust height up- if you put any weight on it ( like when I sing I tend to lean on the boom a little bit ) it slips back down with little effort. The clutch doesn’t hold it up at all. Then- that pistol grip clutch that you squeeze to raise or lower it- it’s plastic and it cracked, making it wobbly and unusable. Typical. Source it out to China and it becomes junk. Stay away from this Chinese turd. Gator you disappoint me. China sucks. So gator replaced it. New one is wobbly too and will prob break in the next couple of gigs. This clutch is JUNK ... show more

  • Awesome! Expect a Lifetime of Use
Style: 12" Weighted Base - Deluxe Height Adjust Pattern Name: Stand
I absolutely love this stand! I have ordered other brands in previous years, only to discover Gator stands just recently. Now I wish I had known about these stands earlier!! Not too late, though, as I have begun using this and two other Gator Frameworks stands-a GFW-MIC-0821 bass drum mic stand and an ID Series Tripod Mic Stand with Boom Arm that I recently ordered, and put the existing stands to other, less rugged use. One of my kids said, "wow, Pop, these things are monsters!" Indeed. They are clearly so sturdy and rugged that I easily expect them to last a lifetime. I highly recommend these stands. They are more than worth the price! ... show more

  • Good solid base, paired with heavy duty clamp arm can support iPad well
Style: 12" Weighted Base - Deluxe Height Adjust Pattern Name: Stand
Supports iPad in application of remote learning lessons. Heavy duty clamp attached to the upper adjustable portion works well, and the one-handed adjustment makes height adjustment trivial but still sturdy. Heavy wide base with nice flat surface. I don't know if it's fully "pro" grade, in the sense that you would give this to the Rolling Stones or a busy karaoke bar, but it's better than low consumer grade. You can buy a lot of similar units for 1/2 to 2/3 the price, but they tend to have crappier bases and I would gladly buy this same unit again and probably will. ... show more
