  • Works pretty well, burner is pretty large
Style: Gas Cooker
So far so good. Have used it half a dozen times and seems to operate fairly well. The air control is pretty cheap but seems to function ok. The regulator works, but it does need to be adjusted as the propane is being used. Im thinking this may be due to differences in pressure. The only thing to be mindful of is this is a pretty large burner so the pots and or pans that you use with it will have to be fairly large. It does heat wonderfully ... show more

  • As advertised
Style: Gas Cooker
As advertised, quality construction, used it in a refurbished smoke house, heat control was amazing, used 1 - 20lb propane tank in about 8 hours of constant use @ 165 degrees, smoked about 180 lbs. of bologna, very happy with the burner.

  • Bought for maple syrup
Style: Gas Cooker
I bought this for making maple syrup. Overall it works very well. My only complaint is probably just my own fault. For maple syrup where you're running this for a long time, running it on high uses a LOT of propane and isn't really necessary for a good boil off. Also on high the flame wraps up around the sides of the pot which can lead to charred sugar which colors the syrup. As a result I turn it down quite a bit. This however makes for a flame that blows out much more easily I suspect than a smaller burner running on high. For my solution I took a steel barrel, cut both ends off and cut an access opening for the propane attachment. I slide this down over the whole burner and pot (it fits exactly perfectly over this burner stand) and have no more wind issues. The whole thing is larger than expected and very sturdy even with a large vat of sap on it. If buying again I would probably downside to 70-100K BTUs but overall this is a very impressive burner. ... show more

  • Durable and Heats Up Fast and High
Style: Gas Cooker
Bought this in 2019, still going absolutely strong. Burns hot and fast. Easy get a 60 qt pot to boil in under 25 minutes. I only cook crawfish in it and works absolutely fantastic b/c you need to get that boil to come back up as fast as possible after you throw in the crawfish. Highly recommended.

  • Awesome Outdoor Propane Burner for pressure canning or camping!!!
Style: Gas Cooker
The Propane burner is awesome! I used it to pressure can (68) jars of food. That is (6) hours of run time for the Burner and I barely used any propane from my tank. The flame was a beautiful blue hot flame. The flame adjustment for fuel flow and the air intake adjustment are easy to use. The burner fits my extremely large pressure canner of (41.3) quarts without a problem. The burner is well built and sturdy. No concerns of tipping over due to weight. My pressure canner empty is over (30) lbs. This is a must buy, in my opinion, for pressure canning or any other outdoor cooking needs. It would be perfect for camping when the weather is prohibitive for building a fire to cook over. ... show more

  • Crawfish Cooker
Style: Gas Cooker
I purchased this unit to use as a Crawfish/Seafood Cooker. I received it today and I immediately hooked it up. I use an 80 quart pot for my crawfish boils. It easily accommodates my 80 quart pot and it would easily accommodate a 100 quart pot. Very sturdy. I put 14 gallons of water in my pot which is what I normally put in the pot for one 35 to 40 pound sack of crawfish with fixin's. I put a thermometer probe in the water and made sure it was way off the bottom and set my Thermoworks Smoke to 212 degrees. I put a cover on the pot and fired it up! The 411: 14 gallons of water came to a rolling boil in 30 minutes flat. I ran it wide open. The regulator did not ice over or freeze. I didn't have a sack of crawfish to add to determine how quick it would come back to a boil. They're not in season right now. Yes, it smells of burning paint when you use it the first time but that's with all propane cookers. I suggest lighting it and burning the paint off before you cook with it. The outside temp was 48 degrees with a significant 10 - 15 knot wind from the south. As you may already know, the wind can greatly affect the performance of a propane cooker. The conditions today were not ideal but I felt like the cooker performed very well. It easily saved 20 minutes off of my boil time that I had with my low pressure cooker. Don't be tempted to purchase "Jet Burner" cookers. All they do is make a lot of noise, use a S#$T load of propane and perform poorly. I am looking forward to Crawfish Season! ... show more
