I got this because I was tired to have to open the door under the sink every time I wanted to use the garbage disposal. Because of the inconvenience, I used to use it very rarely. After installing this, I use it all the time. So much more convenient. It was easy to install and use. I did not make an extra hole in the counter; I installed it on the side of the cabinet right in front of the sink. Easier to cut a hole in the cabinet. I received this garbage disposal through Amazon Vine. We have mixed reviews on this product as we weren’t able to fully utilize all of the pieces. The tubing was definitely useful for fixing our garbage disposal, but the power supply presented challenges, and ultimately, we did not use the power supply that came with it as the location where it was to be placed did not work with our space. My husband was particularly disappointed with the power supply design. He felt that it was not adequately designed for implementation in places such as under the sink. We ended up using our initial power supply and simply used the tubing to fix our garbage disposal. After using this recently, my husband stated that it was a mixed experience. While the tubing worked well, other elements were not usable for us in our space. The engineering or design of the power supply did not take into account the limited space one might have under a sink or the accessibility of power outlets in that area for the use of this disposal. In summary, while the tubing component worked effectively, the overall design, particularly the power supply, did not meet our needs due to space constraints. ... show more

I bought this for our kitchen remodel I did not want another switch or outlet on the small wall above my sink then I discovered this. Game changer!! I have an extra hole in my sink that I was going to have to plug anyway so this is a perfect solution. It hasn't been installed yet but will update when we do. I got this as part of a larger kitchen renovation job, where I am removing a light switch but still want the light. So I plan to revise the light switch to be an outlet and put a plug on the lines that go to the bulb. Then I'll insert this between the two (all under the counter) and have the button on the counter of course. If it gets wet on the counter, who cares, it is air! Then I can toggle the light bulb on/off. I did test the unit and it works fine. There's a little gap around the outer edge of the gasket under the faceplate, so you'll have to occasionally clean that little gap around the perimeter with a toothbrush or something. If you've never used these before, don't expect a button click. It is more of a soft "smoosh" to get it to toggle on and off. Other than that there's not much to say other than the finish is good and the construction seems to be pretty robust. thumbs up. ... show more

This was east to install under my sink, simply drilled a hole in the sink, caulked it and then screwed it together. From there I ran the cord under the sink to an outlet along the back wall making it neat and out of the way. When I push the button, it turns the disposal on or off depending on what the current state of it is. This will also work for many other appliances if you need to put a switch somewhere away from the electrical appliance. ... show more
