I had purchased a disposal from another leading brand and installed it. It was so loud that it sounded like it was grinding rocks even with nothing in it. Tecasa is an unfamiliar brand but the limited number of reviews were good, indicating that the unit was quiet. As such, I purchased the disposal and installed it. It was easy to install - seems that all disposals are designed for similar installation. When I turned it on, I was amazed and extremely impressed with how quiet this disposal is. It barely makes a humming noise when operating. It has got plenty of power to grind up normal food stuff run through it. I highly recommrnd this unit.
