This is really quiet and grinds up everything I put in it. I put a bunch of chicken bones down the drain and this disposal just crunched and chewed them up. Only con was I had a bit of difficulty attaching it to the mount. Mostly because of the tight seal it has.

I had purchased a disposal from another leading brand and installed it. It was so loud that it sounded like it was grinding rocks even with nothing in it. Tecasa is an unfamiliar brand but the limited number of reviews were good, indicating that the unit was quiet. As such, I purchased the disposal and installed it. It was easy to install - seems that all disposals are designed for similar installation. When I turned it on, I was amazed and extremely impressed with how quiet this disposal is. It barely makes a humming noise when operating. It has got plenty of power to grind up normal food stuff run through it. I highly recommrnd this unit. Stopped working after less than 3 months. Tech support is terrible. Amazon won't take it back. Amazon's customer service was terrible in this instance. They don't take responsibility. They provided a link to to seller. You can only chat with the seller's robot. No resolution.
