I have always built my own PC's, and purchased the peripherals that go with them. I have recently gotten into RGB, including LED fading and sound activated lights. As I am now retired, I have purchased larger letter keyboards with stamped white on RGB keyboards. I have gravitated towards steel framed keyboards until this one caught my eye. The large letters are not just stamped, the RGB shines through them, The frame is metal and the keys are very responsive for gaming and general use. I still code and create on the computer. I highly recommend this keyboard for its durability, RGB look and lettering, as well as the responsiveness of the keys themselves. Don't let the low-cost fool you. This keyboard is amazing!!!! Great key response and feel! Nice extremely sturdy metal frame! Can't recommend it highly enough. the only downside for me is that the LED backlights are set in the color, a rainbow effect. I prefer the option to be able to pick only ONE color.

I found the keyboard touch soft and hardy know that you are hitting the keys. The bright light helps me to see the keys (I am nearly blind). The price when compared with other like items is fantastic.

    • Look closely at the pictures before you buy - this is not a standard keyboard!
Edit: they gave me a full refund! That's worth an extra star right there, so now I rate it 4 stars! Original text follows: That was my mistake. If I had done just that I would have bought something else. Specifically, look between the main portion of the keyboard and the number pad. The manufacturer redesigned the placement of the ten keys found there. It looks like they did that to save on a bit of plastic by shortening the total length, but the result makes it more difficult to use. I'm constantly aggravated from the change - my muscle memory expects the keys to be where they should be but they're not. As for other things... The keys are responsive, with large letters (just not all in the proper position, as I've noted), and backlighting that lets you change the intensity. The nubs on the f, j, and keypad-5 keys aren't very prominent, which is another problem for touch-typists like me, but at least you can visually locate the keys in the dark due to the backlighting (it slows you down, but it's not a deal-breaker). There is a decent wrist-rest area south of the space-bar. (But if they're trying to save on plastic by making it less long, then why did they include that?) There's also an extra key on the bottom row that toggles the backlighting; imo that really needs to go on the top row, to the right of the function keys, and while it wasn't as much of an annoyance to me as those other keys, it was still an issue for me. Now, for the reason this got even the three stars I gave it: it's cheap. Even so, a cheap keyboard that frustrates me so much that I want to throw it out the window still isn't good enough for me. So, I'll be seeing now if they'll let me return it; I really SHOULD HAVE LOOKED CLOSER before buying it. ... show more

I've bought two of these and they both stopped working within a week. I blamed the first failure on my puppy tripping over the cord and damaging it, but the replacement failed exactly the same way. Would be a nice keyboard if it actually worked. EDIT: I have received an excellent customer service reply from a representative of the seller. They apologized for the issue and said they have asked their supplier to upgrade the cords. They offered me 3 options: A better corded keyboard, a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, or a refund. Honestly this is the finest customer service I have ever gotten from any online retailer and I am very impressed! Although the keyboards failed, the seller is not to blame and they did a great job correcting the problem. ... show more

I really like this keyboard a lot, the lights stay on if you want or you can shut them off. I like them on. I'm not a gamer so I don't know how it is for that but I'm sure it's just fine. What a bargain!
