I come into this thinking most desk chairs and gaming chairs are overpriced. If most chairs are built to last 2-6 years, and then vary on how comfortable those years are, then its a sliding scale with the random element of something failing or just overuse or fault. With that said, I was wary of the bad reviews saying they had parts missing, bad stitching like it was worn or shoddy, or reused. Luckily the chair I ordered was in perfect condition and nothing was missing. How your chair lasts will really depend on how many hours you sit in it as much as how sturdy its made. Are you looking more for comfort, price, or durability? We try to balance these things. The chair I was replacing was a desk chair I got at Staples, a nice chair, pretty comfortable, decent lumbar support was important to me, and looked nice in grey-green. The main reason I got it was cost. If my budget was $150 or less, most their chairs were not very comfortable, chairs at that price point, this was the best. It had 2 good years of use, and the piston randomly failed and it was stuck at lowest height. That happens and it sucks. Granted, it wasn't the sturdiest built because of the price, but at the time that seemed a good affordable option. NOW THIS CHAIR. Its a marked upgrade I am happy with. A lot more metal parts than plastic and more reinforced with bolts on legs and arms. Seat is comfortable, built in lumbar support is good, and padded arm rests are very comfortable - option to lift them is nice. All in all this chair was fairly fast and easy to assemble, very comfortable and seems relatively well made. I hope it lasts more than 2 years. But honestly for $80 or $90 this chair is well worth the price vs its competition if it lasts 2 years or more. Like I started saying, a lot of desk chairs and 'gaming' chairs look like this one, cost twice as much and aren't even as comfortable or feel odd. This one is fast and easy to assemble and (unless you were like an unlucky bad reviewer) is well made. Personally for this price point of 80or 90 bucks, I think its very fair. Go to to your local Staples, you will see similar for 2 or 3 times the price, and a decent chair for the same price point of 100 or less, just not as good. ... show more

Chair is comfortable to me (I am 6'3" and 230lbs). The base is solid metal/ The padding/cushioning is great. Hydrolics seems solid. The only thing Im slightly concerned about is that all the support for the back peice comes from the chrome/black plastic brackets that the arm rests are attached to which are entirely plastic (I wish they were metal), so if either one fails then the back would give out (and I have had that happen before on previous desk chairs.) But I suppose time will tell on that. Assembly was easy, instruction manual was good, they send you everything you need to put it together. I like that the arm rests can be lifted out of the way or put down. It reclines well and the padding on the arm rests is superb. Overall, Im pleased with it. ... show more

this gaming chair in the beginning is easy to assemble but on the handles part it gets hard for a single person to do. i stripped my screws on the way and the screws didn't even go in the right way. i couldn't even put on the caps in the end. but in the end i was fine with it because it was minor anyways. but still. ... show more

I’d say all in all this chair was simple to put together with pretty clear instructions. I’ve had it for a week now and it’s become my favorite part of my gaming set up. With the arms able to lift up and the all around comfort it’s a great chair for the price.

    • Came Missing a Part

Loved the chair, but can't use it because the base was missing one plastic arm sleeve, and the screws keep coming loose. Also, we're in Germany (received it to my APO), so it's not like I can return the whole chair. Hoping I can get just a replacement sleeve.
