  • PS sized for smaller hands, played with no issues, too expensive for wired only
Color: Blue
This controller was great to play with. The sticks felt good and the buttons felt a little weak but they worked every time with no issues. The included cable is 5 feet long, which is good since the controller can only be used wired. The problem is that I already had 2 USB C cables plugged into my PC, but neither of them fit because the hole on the controller is too small to allow them to plug all the way in. They are blocked from even getting to the USB port. This means that if the cable ever breaks, good luck being able to tell which one will fit when you order one online. I played an entire session of Rocket League with no issues, except that the controller is on the smaller side like PS controllers. So if you have an XBox or PC but small hands, this controller might be the one for you. It does come with a free month of XBox Live, which is nice, but I feel like they just included that in the price at retail value anyway. The bottom line is that this price point is way too high for a wired only controller. At this price point it should be wireless or if not then cheaper, since wired are usually half the price. The replaceable front thing is a weird gimmick that adds little value unless you can find one that really means something to you. The controller looks terrible without the faceplate and since the buttons are the same color as the faceplate, changing it seems rather pointless, because you'll have mismatched buttons. 4/5 It's very good but there is better value out there. ... show more

  • Wired controller with familiar feel and lots of customizable features.
Color: Blue
Tested the GameSir G7 SE Wired Controller on Win 10 i7 gaming PC. Button layout and feel is very similar to OEM XB/PC controller - but noticeably lighter in weight (good). The main difference is the two little menu buttons around the big silver XB button are positioned a little higher on the GameSir - so a little muscle memory adjustment there. All the other buttons/sticks in familiar positions. Additionally, the GameSir adds a programmable button under each grip for ring finger press - or these can be locked so they can't be pressed and not even noticed when playing. The GameSir Nexus app can be downloaded from the MS store or XB store to set alternate behaviors for the sticks and buttons. One of the app's features I really liked for FPS gaming is the "hair trigger" mode - which sets the trigger signal to 100% at even the slightest trigger movement. I also liked the feel of the vibration at the default setting - not too soft or too harsh (distracting). All in all, a solid feeling controller with very familiar stick/button feel and layout. Definitely worth a look for anyone wanting a highly customizable controller. Includes a 3.5mm jack for headphones and a separate mic mute button on bottom of the controller. The sticks feel accurate and capable of lasting a while (time will tell). No drifting or inconsistent cursor movement experience with the GameSir during testing. Note, if launching games from steam, set controller in that app for extended function controller (due to the additional buttons/features on the GameSir). Except for the optional nexus app, no drivers or software need to be installed - after first PC USB connect, drivers auto loaded in Win10. Testing Notes: - Comes in multiple "pastel" colors. I tested the blue - which is powder blue. - No battery operation - wired to USB port operation only. - Slightly raised position for the two small menu buttons. - Does not automatically turn on with PC - press the big X button to power on controller. ... show more

  • Works well
Color: Purple
Purple is my favorite color, so I had to have this. Works well, though I wish you could use it wireless. Easy to charge, and so far it does the job.

  • After owning this for 1 year
Color: Blue
I’ve had multiple controllers (8 elite series 2, 2 elite series 1, 8 base controllers from Xbox one to series x. This controller feels cheap (light) but performs better for $140 cheaper. The Hall effects sticks are game changers it’s nearly impossible to get drift the old fashion way that every controller with a potentiometer (aka 95% of Xbox controllers) gets. Potentiometers use sensors that detect input by h movement over the sender by the stick. So if you get debris on it. It will detect and create drift. Hall effects use magnetic force (aka the force of magnets push/pull) as movement.) as this cannot get dirty you will get drift less often or at random. It will be due to a mechanical failure or the magnets losing their magnetism. Once you dial in the settings from default out of the box with the GameSir nexus app (available on Xbox store and the App Store for pc) this controller really shines. On pc it has 1000hz poll rate (this disabled the mic port but I have wireless a50s and beyer dynamics dt 990pros) For those that have issues with it “not turning on” Please ensure the cable is fully connected into the controller. It may feel like it’s in but until that light above the Xbox home button is on you have to go further. (Make sure your Xbox is on before attempting) One issue I’ve seen is the cable itself is not durable. But I was able to use my elite series 2 usb cable just fine. (Any usb c cable will work. It’s only the housing around the port that might not fit for some cables) ... show more
