I got this for our two sons as an upgrade to their old nightlight. It looked intriguing and the added bonus of a white noise maker sweetened the deal. The light features are the strongest feature, they are mesmerizing with a decent amount of customization. You can adjust the brightness and the speed, and the coverage is as advertised with no dead spots or fading. The ‘stars’ are projected by a green laser feature and unfortunately the color cannot be changed to white or blue or something more star-like. The Bluetooth functions are standard I had no issues connecting my iPhone and I had no issues with connectivity, it seems to have a good range. The speaker is what you would get for a $15 Bluetooth speaker. The remote which as other reviewers have stated, tends to stick and be slow to respond. Once you fidget with it for 15 minutes you get the idea, its not a deal breaker. The biggest let down was the advertised ‘white noise’. It’s really just 3 noises which are birds chirping (not soothing), or two other generic lullaby songs that you would find on a cheap baby toy. There are actual noise makers on amazon with specific frequencies (like fans, low frequency humming etc) that are designed to neutralize ambient noise for lower prices. If your considering this for ‘white noise’ I do not recommend this. Otherwise, our sons love the light features. With improvements to the white noise maker and remote this could easily be well worth the money. Edit: After further using the remote it appears the power button does not turn the light on if it is already powered off, just off if it was already powered on. I have to physically press the power button on the light itself to turn it on. This seems like a fairly large oversight. ... show more

This looks really neat with the lights off and having this on. It turns the bedroom into a galaxy! It's really easy to use, too. If you have a space lover, I'd recommend this.

Remote sucks need to be within a few inches and need to click several times to do anything including turning on or off. Changed the battery in the remote, same issue. The unit itself seems ok however it would have been nice to get some kind of manual or instructions

    • Wonderful atmosphere with so little effort

I received this item through Amazon Vine, but it was perfect for my son and his bedroom. My son still likes having a nightlight, and this little gem was perfect. I received the package and had it unboxed and tested in a few minutes. After playing through the options to see how intuitive the controls were (fairly decent) I read through the manual and gained additional feature understanding. However, through basic button pushing and trial and error, I was able to do everything I wanted to without needing the manual, and this is why I love it. The thing just works right out of the box, plugged in. The remote provides great options to change the display options, colors, speed of patterns, etc., all of which can be deciphered through button pushing, nothing complicated. It does have a few hidden tricks with modes and lighting that I really did not play with much. The basic color wave and star pattern (blue) were my son's favorite by far. He loved being able to speed up the pattern and shift the star field on and off (he likes the stars solo the best). Pros: 1. Super easy setup - don't even need instructions 2. beautiful colors and patterns out of the box 3. intuitive remote for most basic functions Cons: 1. IR sensor and remote need a direct line of sight 2. Hitting the R, G, and B buttons does not automatically switch to just those colors but adds or takes away the color to the existing pattern. 3. Default "music" for the item was a simple build chirping/nature sound simple .wav that was annoying and did not match the atmosphere of the light at all. Not sure why it was included as a default sound. Over-all, the item works exactly as advertised and has brilliant colors and patterns that literally light up my son's bedroom ceiling. This little projector is definitely a must buy if you have young children and is worth buying even if you don’t. It’s cool for all ages, young kids, teenagers and adults can enjoy it in their room with some music! We got it for our 1 year old. He loves it and can’t stop looking around at the room with a big smile when it’s bedtime. This projector is customizable, it has four colors to choose from, you can mix them however you’d like or use only one color. The colors are Red, Blue, Green and White. You can also adjust the speed at which these colored lights move, so you can set the correct mood/vibe. It also has green laser dots, they fade in and out, unfortunately these lasers dots are not customizable. However, you can decide if you want the colored lights on with the green dots or just the colored lights alone or just the green dots alone. This projector comes with a remote that allows you to pick and choose what you want along with adjusting the brightness. Unfortunately, the lights do not dim down a lot, this brightly the room a good amount, but our son still falls asleep with them on. The darkest setting would be just the red lights on alone with no other colors or green dots. I personally like the blue lights alone, reminds me of water and I love the green and red combo, it reminds me of something always wanted to see, the Northern lights and also reminds me of the nebular clouds in space! The range for the remote would probably be the only biggest draw back for me, it only reaches about 7 feet away or so, but then again in a bedroom I guess you don’t need much range if it’s set up on a dresser or near you. ... show more
