This is a great oscillating tool for a very good price. It is built solid and the package is great with all the right attachments, handle, sanding pads, etc. I have bought Galax pro tools before and am impressed overall with the quality. This particular tool has some kind of a power short in the switch and does not turn on immediately when switch is pushed to on position. There is some kind of a short, though do not see any sparks. Might be a faulty switch, however, when using tool today, when sideways, the power intermittently fades outs. Both these problems are inconsistent and cannot be replicated every time, but points to an underlying issue. I expect the manufacturer will follow-up and take care or this issue and it would not keep me from replacing with the same product via Amazon. I consider the problem to be a fluke and love the tool otherwise. I was willing to live with the switch problem, since it would power up with a couple of presses of the switch, but when it lost power when turned sideways, it is an indication of something more serious. ... show more

I was an automotive technician by trade so I guess I never seen this tool. I'm 62 year old disabled woman for start. I try to do most repairs at my home myself. I had a couple of home repairs I needed to do which would require a sander and something to cut a whole in my door. I was just browsing tools and came across this by pure luck. I bought and put it to work. It cut through metal and wood like butter and it didn't scare me at all. I really didn't know what this tool was called other then a oscillator multi tool so I posted a picture on Facebook and asked what others called it. My niece called it an occilating multi tool and told me she owned one and used it regularly. Most people mistook it for a saws all. So while at a local hardware store picking up some supplies I checked. My niece was correct. I have used this multiple times. I even cut down a 4x4 with it. Its so easy to use. The handle moves to either side or it can just be removed. Not sure why it came with internal brushes. Other then maybe they fail or wear down like a starter on a car, if so I'm guessing I could repair myself. There are more blades available then what it comes with but so far I haven't needed them. These thing sale in my town for 90.00 so ordering from Amazon was the way to go. I live in a lake side community so everything cost more. Anyway I love this tool. Works great for small jobs, cutting nails, trimming, notching, wood, sheetrock, invest in carbide tipped if you're cutting metal, let the tool do the work, if you put too much pressure on the head you will stress the tool and break it, if you're sanding a large area get a tool specifically designed for just sanding. This tool is primarily designed for cutting, and only sanding hard to reach SMALL areas. ... show more

By now anyone who read my reviews of items know I DONT LOKE LIES. That said here it goes, I bought this item because I was stuck between a wall and a hard place, I had contacted FIVE different so call sheet rock "PROFESSIONALS" and two answer the phone and didn't keep their appointments and the others didn't even answer the messages, THANKS FOR NOTHING ANGIE. with this unit alone my assistant ton down a wasted space closet that had been made in a living room with hardwood for skeleton, sheet rock, plywood, plaster and over 300 4-inch nails, guess he had made it for eternity. Now The unit and blades to my surprised worked beautify, blades were no cheap use and throw type. The unit heats up pretty quick even though it keeps going, but cool down period id recommended by me. I needed to remove a small piece from a wooden cabinet "beam." I needed to slide a connection line through the area. We had no idea how to get to it and remove it. I also needed to enlarge a countertop opening for a new cooktop. I remembered previously having seen a video on an oscillating tool. I went directly to Amazon. I selected this product especially since it came with as selection of blades. It worked AMAZINGLY. It very quickly solved our problems. It easily removed the areas we needed to remove. The beam was on a crazy angle but that was no problem for this tool. Love it and can't give it a high enough rating. This tool can also be used to sand. That is my next project. I need to sand a swing prior to staining it. I am going to use my new go to tool. Beware, this tool is very loud. I recommend ear protection. I don't know how I would have competed my project without this tool. ... show more
