  • Great Read!
My 8 year old daughter and I love reading this together. We started with “One Crazy Summer” and the character Delphine takes us through her story where we’re able to imagine her journey and locations. This book opens up dialogue on the experiences she encounters growing up in her environment, her relationship with parents and siblings, and visuals of the civil rights movement. A must read. ... show more

  • Excellent series!
My students and I have been reading the series for the semester. They are so enthralled in the novels. I tie it into the history and the science going on during the era, and we have the entire semester of immersive curriculum. Perfect!
