I was going to the Caribbean and had never been snorkeling so I thought the whole face option would be better for a beginner. This snorkel did not disappoint. It was easy to use and compact to fit into my book bag. It fit well I never had any water leaks or fog. A good snorkel at a reasonable price.

These are awesome! We have them in all sizes for our whole family! They give such a beautiful panoramic view that you don't get from most masks. The full face mask makes the whole snorkel experience so much easier as you can breathe through your nose or mouth. The float ball in the snorkel itself is great for diving as it keeps the water out. The seal around the face is extremely comfortable and seals great. My favorite features are the hinge that makes storage easy and the super comfy elastic straps on the back. I'm hopeful we can get a few more!! We may never use regular goggles again! ... show more

    • DANGEROUS. POOR AIR EXCHANGE. Banned by tour operators in Hawaii
I was excited to use this type of mask because traditional masks leak and fog up easily. This mask didn't do either, however, I didn't realize that these masks were dangerous and not used by dive shops in Hawaii and many tour operators will not allow their customers to use them (if they bring their own). I used this mask for about 20 minutes and became quite short of breath. I decided to swim back to shore and I have never been so exhausted while snorkeling. I really worried I would not make it. I am a strong swimmer and have snorkeled for many years without experiencing this problem. My son was with me using a different brand of full face mask and he experienced the same feeling. It was really scary! I went to the local dive shop and thankfully I thought to ask why they don't rent full face masks. THey told me that they are dangerous and several people have died using them. These should not be sold! They really should be taken off the market. ALso, my son's mask (different brand), filled with water when he submerged completely, and fortunately he was able to pull the mask off. Apparently one of the hypotheses about why these masks are dangerous is because they are more difficult to pull off due to the extra straps, and if you are already fatigued and not thinking straight due to poor air exchange, the combonation could be deadly. ... show more
