I got a few different snorkel/mask combinations for our family's trip to Cancun last week. This was intended for my nine year old, but my twelve year old daughter ended up using it more. She has braces, and she couldn't really use the traditional snorkel that goes in the mouth because of the braces. She used this one a lot, and found it comfortable. The view was great and it didn't fog up. As with all full face snorkel masks, it's not as good when you need to swim hard. I don't think they move as much air as the traditional snorkels. But for floating around looking at fish, it's great. It was a good size for both kids. Here's the scale I'm using for my ratings: ⭐️ 1 star= Disappointed. I don't recommend it at all. It’s poorly made, or not what it’s listed to be. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming qualities, would not buy again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = Meh. It's passable. They saw some of these at the pool and wanted them. They still like them and think they’re awesome but it’s not summer anymore so swimming is few and far between. Update incoming once there’s more testing done.

We recently went snorkeling with my 6 year old and she had separate pieces that kept moving around in the water. She ended up just holding her breath and looking under with her goggles. I knew as soon as I got home that I would order one like this. So far it seems like the suction on her face is really good and it has a comfortable fit. We haven't tried it in the ocean so I'm not sure if there is more movement, but I think it could be a little smaller for her face. I think if she grows a little bit by summer that it will be perfect! So this product is going to be a Christmas gift for my daughter, but I wanted to test it out a bit first. I recognize that this was built for children, so it likely didn’t fit me quite right, but even so, it was really comfortable. I will update at a later time if there are an issues for my daughter. Overall, the lining around the face is really comfortable, and for lack of a better word, “soft” on the skin. The straps around the head are really soft material too. The separation of the nose/mouth and eyes really makes a difference keeping it from fogging up. The wide lens and visibility is great! Not a bad thing, but just a side note: The bead that keeps water from coming in also completely cuts air off when you tilt your head far back, I forgot about it and startled myself the first time I did it…so maybe remind your kids of this too. My niece loved the mask. She is very petite so was worried that this would not fit her but this fit her just right. No water leaked inside the mask. Love the mesh bag that came with it, was easy to pack in the suitcase. It was a bit tough to teach her not to move her head too low cause of course water can go through the snorkel, but after a few tries it worked wonderfully for her. I like how easy it is to take off and use for my 5 year old while snorkeling in Hawaii. We were able to see everything clearly, and she was able to snorkel without fear of breathing in water and making it easier to breathe without using a mouthpiece. Our family is going on a cruise in a few weeks, and our kids are excited about snorkeling. I personally have a hard time using a normal snorkel, keeping a seal on the mouth piece, keeping water out, etc. So I thought these full-face masks would be a great option for them.
