I waited a long time before finally deciding to buy this external fan and I wish that I had bought it sooner. The fan itself is pretty good and I was impressed. It spins plenty fast with low noise and reduces heat from Xbox significantly. I have genuinely noticed a slightly better gaming experience after adding this with less hitching and micro stuttering. It should also make your Xbox last longer. Overall I definitely suggest if you use your Xbox heavily for gaming. ... show more

My Xbox series S was getting pretty hot and this fan keeps in cool! Install/Fitment = Excellent Function - Auto mode kicks on at 95 degrees and cools to 94 degrees and kicks off. Problem is a minute later it kicks back on again. I wish it would cool 3-5 degrees before kicking off. The solution is to keep it on low in manual mode which also keeps temps drastically lower. Also, the temperature display stays on even after the console is shut off and sometimes it confuses the other devices connected to my TV causing it not to auto switch input channels. Slightly annoying but this can be avoided by simply unplugging the fan. It’s also loud but it is a huge fan so it’s to be expected. Overall = I recommend it. It does a fantastic job of cooling. I will probably buy another one to use on my sons console. ... show more

I do really like this fan. I installed it on my Xbox One S easily and it works. The two main reasons it got a 4 out of 5 stars is there’s only two fan setting options, automatic and manual. Automatic turns the fan on after the system has reached 95 degrees or more with three fan stages, a green light will appear and have the fan set at basic speed, then if it gets hot enough it’ll go to blue, and then red meaning your Xbox is on fire…and I just really wish they let you set the temperature the fan turns on yourself because the fan is constantly turning on and off as it reaches 95 degrees..and manual is kind of useless unless you like having your fan constantly on even when the Xbox is off. Lastly, the fan and device display is very bright. Outshining everything that is around it which is ridiculous. The display is so bright I had to place tape on it just so it wouldn’t annoy me as I sat in front of the tv. Some buttons to adjust the fan and display level of brightness would have been great. I’d been a lot happier if I could set each fan stage myself to a specific temperature rather than the manufacturer deciding for you and adjusting the brightness levels for the fan and display, but it is a nice fan system and you can’t go wrong with it. If you’re looking for a fan that has more control or options to adjust everything the way you want it, I’d look elsewhere. ... show more

I got this for my XBox series S (in my office). It was both easy to install and quiet when running. It also has the nice "auto" feature where you can leave it plugged in all the time and let the fan decide (based upon the temp of the XBox) when to turn on and off. Also, this fan fits on the console so well (held in place by strong magnets), that it looks like an official Microsoft accessory custom made for my XBox (when really its an accessory made by a 3rd party for use with an XBox). While this fan was a little more costly than some other cooling fans I've seen or used (in the past), this one has the advantage of properly fitting the console, and being both quiet and automatic as it runs (some of the cheaper cooling fans I tried made a lot of noise when running, and many of those cheaper fans also needed to be manually started/stopped). While I may have personally liked a little lower temp cutoff (maybe 85 degrees?) before the fan (in "auto" mode) starts (thereby keeping the console even cooler), I still doubt that letting the console get up to 95 degrees is likely to cause the console much (if any) "heat damage". So from a "protect the console" standpoint, the 95 degree startup the maker chose (for the "auto" mode of the fan) is probably reasonable. NOTE: Some other reviewers are annoyed by the LED with this fan, and state it causes a little distraction/glare when watching their TV (which likely depends upon where their XBox is relative to which angle they watch their TV from). For those reviewers, I suggest you either move your Xbox to a location out of your line of sight, or use the option built into this fan to keep the LED turned off. However, my console is behind my monitor (and therefore already out of my line of sight). So I personally chose to leave the LED on, so I could easily look over my monitor to see the current state of the fan. When I look at my console, the LED will quickly show the state of the fan (an off LED means the fan is also off, and an on LED shows the fan is on with the color indicating fan speed). ... show more
