  • A Stylish Desk Mini Aquarium
I recently purchased the Fzone Desk Mini Tank, and it has been an excellent addition to my workspace. This compact desktop aquarium combines sleek design with practical features, making it a standout choice to add a touch of aquatic tranquility to their desk. The Fzone Desk Mini Tank boasts a modern and minimalist design that easily blends into any decor. The tank's compact size is perfect for small spaces, and the build quality is impressive, with sturdy materials that ensure durability. One of the standout features of this tank is the adjustable lighting system. It offers various light selections, allowing you to customize the ambiance to suit your mood or the time of day. The lighting is both bright and energy-efficient, highlighting the beauty of the aquatic environment within. The filtration system in the Fzone Desk Mini Tank is remarkably quiet, which is a huge plus for a desktop aquarium. It effectively keeps the water clean and clear without any disruptive noise, making it ideal for a workspace or bedroom setting. Maintenance is straightforward, and the filter components are easy to access and clean. It also has a convenient drainage feature ensuring minimal upkeep. Setting up the Fzone Desk Mini Tank was a breeze. The instructions were clear and concise, and all necessary components were included. I had the tank up and running within half an hour For a trial test, I added a couple of shrimp to the tank. They seem to thrive in the environment, thanks to the efficient filtration system and suitable lighting. Maintenance has been equally hassle-free, with the quiet filtration system ensuring minimal upkeep. Regular water changes and occasional filter cleaning are all that's needed to keep the tank in top condition. The tank's overall performance has been excellent. The water remains clean, and the shrimp appear healthy and active. The adjustable lighting adds a dynamic element to the tank, making it a pleasant focal point in the room. Additionally, the tank’s quiet operation ensures that it does not disturb the peaceful environment of my workspace. ... show more

  • Easy, quiet, clean desktop aquarium. Great for kids.
For starters, this aquarium was for my kid’s bedroom desk/bedside. Incredibly easy to set up, in fact, I’m not sure I did anything except plug it in… Obviously, we planted it and though this has nothing to do with the aquarium itself, if you like the naturalistic/biotope look, go get some plants from your local fish store, it’s a game changer. It’ll cost you maybe $10-$20 for some epiphytes (buce, java fern, etc.) which are plants that are more than happy in low/medium light and feed directly off nutrients directly in the water column (rather soil/substrate). This fits this aquariums mild lighting and deals with this aquarium having the drain on the bottom which might prevent some smaller substrates (like sand) from being used. But tbh I may add some small gravel and the bottom drain may actually help with cleaning the substrate rather well during water changes. For now we’re ok having a naked bottom and we get to take full advantage of the decorative lighting down there. All in all, we wanted a tank that was super easy to maintain and this seems like it will be incredibly easier to do water changes with a built-in drain. And I love that the filter is built-in. It’s minimalistic without some obnoxious hang-on-back filter killing the aesthetic. Perfect for a desktop aquarium. And that’s what this is. It’s a small, simple, easy to maintain, desktop aquarium. I’m sure some features either present or lacking, that other have/may mention are valid in certain scenarios, but that honestly hasn’t been our experience or our purpose. I will say it’s small, like suitable for shrimp, plants, maybe a pet snail, or possibly a small betta as we elected for. Typically you’ll want more space for a betta, most people online will say you need 100 gallons (/s) but honestly, if it’s a planted tank (as I’ve tried to stress for y’all) then it seems to be making our betta extremely happy. The water is clean, the filter is working great (near silent) and the plants seem to be happy. If you do elect to put a micro fish or betta in it just be sure to stay on top of your routine water changes. It’s so easy that it really shouldn’t be a chore. Otherwise, just get some truly adorable shrimp (there are so many amazing colors variants now days) and just enjoy them. Honestly that’s perfect for a desktop aquarium which you really don’t mind being able to forget about for a few days or longer. Ok that was way more than I intended to write. If you want something super easy, convenient, aesthetic and small, then this is aquarium is a great choice. PS: we found all the rocks, wood ourselves and that really makes it so much more meaningful, creative and fun. Just use silicone glue to hold the hardscape together for stability/peace of mind, and to make any cleaning, etc. if necessary, so much easier later. And use cyanoacrylate glue to fix some plants if need be. The first can be found cheap at Home Depot and the later at the dollar store, etc. Have fun! ... show more

  • Good for aquatic plants
This tank is too small to humanely keep fish, but it's great for a small aquascape and/or moss balls. The filter is basically silent, the led lights and sleek tank design are beautiful on a desk or integrated into decor, and cleaning is very simple since most of the waste drops to the bottom where a convenient drain plug is located. The plant pot on top is very small and shallow and lacks any kind of drain holes, so it's a challenge to get anything to grow in it. I just placed a small artificial plant inside with some decorative gravel instead. Again I don't think this is any good as a tank for fish, but if you just want some nice plants to look at, this could still work. ... show more

  • Cute little tank that comes with all necessary parts
My 5 year old has been asking me for an aquarium because she wants to turn her bedroom into a jungle. I got her this one because it was small, reasonably priced, looked good, and came with everything needed except hardscape/plants/inhabitants. I was able to setup the tank in just a couple minutes. It holds just over 1 gallon of water and is quiet enough that it can be kept in a bedroom. If the pump is making noise, wiggle it around to help get any air out. The LEDs seem bright enough to grow simple plants like Anubias, Bucephalandra, and ferns. I wouldn't keep fish in here because it is quite a small tank, but snails and a few small Neocaridina shrimp should be okay. I really like that it has a drain hose in the back that makes it easy to change the water without scooping it out from the top. The only downside is the LEDs don't have a built in 24 hour timer and it needs to be manually turned on each day. It looks like you can use an external timer and the lights will come on once the timer does, but the pump will get shut off during the off period. Even with this one minor flaw, its a well made product that is making me and my kid happy. ... show more
