Step 1：Select desired color, fill the crack with a filler wax. 1. If there is a larger hole，please warm the wax a bit before use to soften it , it will fill hole more easily. 2. Start with the lightest color, if the first pass proved to be too light, you can went back over it with the same marker or shifted to a darker shade. 3.For better perference, please make sure the previous color is already dry before you blend other shades.     • Fantastic after some trial and error
BUYER BEWARE: You first need to practice using this set on scrap wood or pieces of furniture you don't care about. Once you get the hang of exactly how much to apply and when to wipe it off, it works fantastically! DETAILS: I spent almost an entire day walking around my house fixing all our furniture from the past 10 years of wear and tear (we have two rambunctious kids, so there was a LOT of damage). I ended up using almost all the marker colors, because our farmhouse style employs all kinds of looks. Our furniture looks brand new now! It even worked on our laminate cabinets and bookshelves, which I was not expecting! I will say that I did mess up a few pieces at first (see warning above). When using the markers, I suggest you apply a thin coat and IMMEDIATELY wipe/dab with a paper towel. Repeat until you get the desired effect. You can always add another coat if it's not dark enough, but if you wait too long to wipe it some defects (depending on the type of wood) will absorb too much of the stain and appear darker than the rest of the piece. I noticed a lot of variance in how the wood took up the stain between my furniture pieces, so being conservative pays off. I even mixed a few markers to get the exact match I wanted. Came out great! I didn't find the crayons helpful, personally, though I see other customers did. KEEP IN MIND: If your wood furniture is in a room that gets a lot of natural light, it is very likely that you will be able to see the difference in colors between the touched up area and the original stain. There is no way to get an exact match with one of these kits. But this kit gets real close. I don't mind this because I'd rather it be close than leave an obvious, light-colored gouge or scratch that exposes the natural wood underneath. The only other option would be to sand and restain the entire piece--and ain't nobody got time for that! ... show more

There is a shade for almost every piece of wood furniture that needs a little TLC in my house. And the price was awesome. It’s starting to really blow my mind how I can get everything I need on Amazon🤣

My son used to chew on his crib. Now that we are well outside of that phase, I repaired his destruction. I did this in only a few minutes. I suppose if I had been even more careful it could have looked even better. No one would even know to look for the repair. Really very happy with these. Great value for what you get and the one color I needed matched so perfectly. Had one large gash in a corner of a cabinet drawer that is now completely hidden along with any other scratches. I have no doubt the other colors will also be great.

My 9 month old corgi was doing a number on a few pieces of furniture. The great thing about this product is it has all colors you could possibly need. Easy to apply and the grey color I used matches perfectly where you can not even tell it was damaged (chewed )

There are a few colours that are really similar that could easily be replaced with one or two different shades for a wider range but its a good set and worked exactly as it should. Will definitely buy again if needed.
