First, let me say that I LOVE this little gadget! I have an Aussie with a very thick coat and an under coat that received a scrubbing down to her skin for the first time in a long time and it was SO EASY & QUICK. She normally hates baths and brushing, but today she was the perfect little lady when I gave her a bath. At that point I knew this was a 5 star product, but then it was time to wash my border collie and that’s when I noticed a couple design flaws. 1) When you first remove the top to pour shampoo in, you find a clear plastic disk. They call it a film, but it’s more the thickness of the plastic of a disposable water bottle. The instructions say to remove the disk, pour shampoo in and then replace the disk and then the lid. The disk helps push the shampoo out the bottom of the comb. Unfortunately, after the first dog, I had to refill and found the disk had slid down under the remaining shampoo, blocking the holes, & making it impossible to work properly. 2) So, I thought I’d just pull the disk out (there is a tiny flap of plastic jutting from the edge of the disk that serves as a handle). The problem is, the flap/handle is tiny and thin to begin with, but add shampoo to the mix and it’s virtually impossible to remove (after much fussing & cussing I finally did get it out and was able to continue with the bath, but what a pain in the butt). 3) Once the baths are finished, there is still shampoo remaining in the comb. I could have tried pouring it back into the bottle, but that would have been a headache and a waste considering how much I’d probably spill. I didn’t feel comfortable just putting the comb back in cabinet because the design would result in shampoo leaking out, making a mess. I finally decided to put it in a zip-lock and call it a day. Despite these flaws, I am in LOVE with this comb for the simple fact that it makes bathing my dogs a hundred times easier. I will be recommending/gifting it to all my dog-loving friends. BUT, if Furminator could find a way to improve upon their already genius product, it would be perfection! ... show more

    • Great brush for shedding dog, but ...
This is a great scrubbing brush to get rid of all that shedding hair. It was super easy to clean off the hair. But, I couldn't quite get the hang of getting the shampoo to come out when I pressed the button. I ended up unscrewing the cap and pouring it out on my furbaby. She loved the bristles as I scrubbed her fur. It made bath time a little more enjoyable for her. I ended up cleaning out the bristles three times while shampooing her ... She is shedding like crazy right now!! It's not perfect, but it's a good addition to the bath time routine. ... show more

    • Button is hard to press.
I used it for my pit bull and my 2 chihuahuas. Works great and distributes the shampoo really well. However, you have to press button hard for shampoo to come out. Really hard to use conditioner, but you can apply on dog and use brush to distribute.

Oh Brush where have you been all my life lol . Love this brush. I have whiny 100lb rottie/aussie mix. What that means? Shedding giant. Thanks to this brush, plenty of hair is removed during her bath, and we have less stress during her brush time(she hates it). I dont care much for the shampoo dispenser wasn't practical for me. I put the shampoo straight on the bristles and that was just fine. If this brush had the handle with noslip grip it woyld be perfect. ... show more

    • Great for all types of coats!
Absolutely loved it! I have a 1 year old Great Pyrenees/chocolate lab mix that has his first winter coat & finally had a healthy coat too. I’be never had a thick/long hair coat dog so I was going on a whim with this after having success with the furnator comb. It was crazy how much loose undercoat came out! I would recommend having both the shampoo & comb to really clean out the layers of fur. After washing, i cleaned out the shampoo and used it to help rinse out the shampoo bc my pryndor has 2 very thick layers that are basically waterproof because of his mix. I used this on my adult black lab and it was great too because he sheds like crazy and had a lot of loose hair. It was gentle enough that it didn’t irritate his skin since he only has one layer. ... show more

I love furminator products and so do my animals— when used in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner it really does cut down on the shedding and with my cats (we have the cat version too) we’ve noticed less hair balls. I read the instructions and mine is actually broken. The seal along the rim where the bristles meet the tank where the soap goes inside the brush is broken so it leaks soap out and air gets in. But I still use the brush, we just put the soap on our wet water loving dog in the bathtub and rub her with it and she just loves it and loves being scrubbed. It gets a lot of extra hair and twigs and pine needles and debris out and she just loves it. Considering mine was broken and you won’t know until you use it… I would say the value isn’t quite there for this one, but furminator products are very good otherwise. ... show more

    • Easy enough for me
This was easy enough for me to use. Open it up, pour in the shampoo, place a little plastic dish on top of the shampoo and put the top back on. To use, put your finger over the little air hole on the top middle and push to make shampoo come out the bottom. If you have to refill during a wash, dry off your hands and repeat the process. I have a medium size wire haired dog and washing with this seemed much easier than my previous process. I can see pets with long coats or curly fur having a hard time with this product. ... show more

    • Great Bath Brush
Overall this product was easy to use, but the button on the top was a bit stiff and harder to push down to make the product come out. I left the plastic piece in the brush and placed it on top of the layers like it said in the instructions, which helped push the product out. My dog was not thrilled with the bath, but she didn’t hate the brush and the brush helped get the product through her layers of hair. ... show more
